LOL at these iPhones costing more than a laptop or in some cases, desktop pc.
And that's a problem?!
To be fair, the 3G was a much bigger upgrade from the original one than from 3G to 3GS

The 3G added:
- 3G
- GPS
- Double Capacity
The 3GS adds
- HSDPA
- Better Camera
- Compass
- Speed Increase
- Double Capacity
They seem fairly similar scale upgrades to me
The battery is removable. it's just designed to last the lifespan of the MBP without needing to be removed.Yes. In something like an iPod the call for a removable battery is minimal at best. For a phone or laptop it could cause massive pains.
I suppose you have to ask yourself if that extra battery life is worth selling more of your soul to Apple.

Now can some explain to me what tethering is please?
lol at people still going on about the compass, people think it's the best thing since sliced bread
You're welcome. Not sure what I did wrong though, you asked a question and I answered quickly and accurately. *shrug*

Apple will happily swap it out if the need arises.
I'm sure your well aware what I mean. I didn't even bother leaving this thread as I was interested in the topic(s) being discussed yet you still chose to give me a smart reply.
It's incredibly useful when using turn by turn navigation though. And also, I was doing some aerial work last week and needed a compass, I ended up using one out of my boy's Scooby Doo kit!
Can see it being a very useful tool, couple it with Google Streetview and you could feasibly overlay information over the top of 'the real world' moving the iphone like a lens over the landscape to reveal details or information!
