Looks like passbook will be another useless in UK feature - I can't see the Odeon etc using it!
Could be useful if combined with NFC

I was thinking that. Use NFC for the payment from you, then a return data to show that you'd bought a drink in the app etc.

Only with United though by the looks of things.
I know a lot of airlines have their own Apps now, say BA for example. However, I think they would prefer to keep their own Apps over using Passbook, because it allows them to have things like their member clubs, booking information and book a flight.
It's also going to take a lot to get people onboard to use it as a way of buying and using tickets. So its doubtful over how successful its going to be to begin with.

All I want from IOS is a theme change.
If passbook gets proper UK support that'll be epic. Save me carrying around lots of tickets for things, I'm due to travel a lot for work in a few months, will save me lots of hassle
Yep, but it'll take ages and what's the betting apple have some sort of propitry file system and so even fewer places implement it as they would need 4 systems for the 4 big players.
Effectively passbook could store your electronic receipts
- and that could be exported into your fav expenses app/.csv...ps3ud0
