Nearly bought a Xbox One X as you could get a refurbished model that looks as new for £180, see the deal on hotdeals. It might come back but think I talked myself out of it, I've already got a PS4 Pro and while my gaming pc is getting on a bit with a 970GTX I could upgrade to a 1070 for less than that.

Anyone seen a decent comparison between PC and the One X? I'm still kinda tempted if they go back down to £180 again but I have a feeling it won't be all that much different from my pc as my displays are all 1080p. Is the One X the equivalent of a PC running everything on say Ultra or is it still limited?

Would be nice not having to bother with settings with each game though but it would probably end up not being used like everything else :p
 
I bought one too missed the initial price but went in at 199

I think like you that although should be cheap before new one released won't be as they will have phased out stock

£199 is still a great price. Was saving up for the Series X but this will keep me going for a while especially with how many games I have on Game Pass and EA Play to get through. Hopefully I might be able to get a deal next year.

Arrived this afternoon, console, pad and cables in perfect condition. The box is marked as refurbished, if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have known the difference.

Not had chance to try many games but Subnautica felt like an improvement over the PS4 Pro, and the console is a lot quieter by comparison.
 
I’ve got my money saved for the Series X but a One X @ £200 is ridiculous value...

I should get it and save £300 really given what’s going on in the world.
 
Bah it's back at £179 on backorder so I've gone for it. Graphics card prices are just silly so I'll give this a go and if I don't use it I'm not exactly going to lose much.

Hopefully it will be quiet as the fan noise does get tiring on the PS4 Pro.
 
I’ve reluctantly decided to hold off-the Series X is the long term option and I know it would get to November and be like why didn’t I just hold out if I bought the One X now.
 
I grabbed one of the £180 One X's Saturday and I'm struggling to see how it's not brand new. Original box, all accessories in wrappers, batteries, all leaflets etc. Not a single mark anywhere and it still smells new when turned on. I've spent the weekend thoroughly testing it with game pass and it's perfect. Amazing deal and the price is still randomly changing if anyway wants to keep track.

I bit at £179 to use for game pass. My unit and accessories also look brand new. It will take a year or so for the next gen console games to get up to snuff.

Plus GPU prices will be sky high for the foreseeable.

Yep, same although I ordered mine a couple of days ago and now delivery has been pushed back till the 5th

Still, at £199 for 6 teeraflops it's a bargain.

This is going in the living room, will still probably get the series x

Mine is a bit loud, not as noisy as my PS4 Pro but not much is... Surprised me as people had said the X is pretty quiet. Going to test a few different games, disc vs. digital and see.
