It's been confirmed by major nelson that USB 3 powered HDD work fine too infact he says he is using 2 of them so i don't who

I took one of my controllers apart and now it doesn't turn on with the battery but works with the cable. Disassembled and the battery area is covered anyway, no obvious loose cables etc. Any ideas?
