**The one and only Official BioShock Thread**- now with added **SPOILERS**

Seriously, though. I reckon there's loads of people who would get used to a pad if they just gave it a decent try. They may even come away realising that the pad is actually better for some fps.
Tell me why console games need auto-aim then? Seriously, gamepads are terrible for FPS games. I've played plenty of console FPS games on a pad, and while you may get a little better over time, you can't escape the fact that accuracy is awful and turning speed is miles lower than a mouse.

360 bioshock demo is no exception either, trying to hit those flying turrets with the pistol on a pad is a joke. Try it, play the demo and let the camera see you then see how often you miss the turret and how much damage it does before you finally kill it.

I've just played Rainbow 6 Vegas on the PC, after playing it some months ago on the 360, and it was sooooo much easier to aim on PC. The 360 version was just an exercise in frustration. Try the darkness demo and see how you get on shooting out all the tiny lights on a pad.

I can't believe anyone who has used both extensively would try to make a serious case for a gamepad being anywhere near as good for aiming as a mouse.

Please elaborate on "better for some fps".
What is better?

whats the cheapest people have found the collectors edition for on pc? cheapest i can find is £39.99 which is a little steap i thought for a pc game, even for a collectors edition. Especially when i have seen the 360 collectors edition for £34.99
The rainforest place have something called the limited edition on preorder for £25 which comes in a metal tin. Dunno if that's the same as collectors edition though.

I could never get into DX, despite trying quite a few times. It just didn't grab me like SS2 did.

Shame really...It does look like it's an amazing game if you can get past the initial "my god I'm bored/this interface sucks" thing. Not that SS2 didn't have it's faults, of course.

Yeah i was the same, i was just bored still on the first level interface and other stuff got to me so i never played it again, shame as it got such good word of mouth reviews. But i did try about 10 times to enjoy it but alas nope.

See now I'm really confused. They list the regular version as £25.99 but the limited tin as £24.99. Although the xbox limited tin is £39.99.

I've pre-ordered with Jersey anyway but some clarification on the above might make me switch.
