I could understand if it was Rainbow 6 Vegas or any other ***** port that was knocked out one Sunday evening but not a game like this - I tend to always buy games of high calibre which is the reason I buy very few games.

STALKER was one I anticipate since 2003~ only to be let down by poor optimisation of the engine by GSC - what a waste of £35 that was lol.

as far as iv read bioshock is a console game and the only thing optimised for the pc is the user interface. i doubt its gonna be loads faster than rainbow 6 vegas but we shall wait and see.

Thats wierd, apparently it was built from the ground up for PC aswell :confused:

Go do some googling and stuff before saying that.

Nope seperate development, 2K Boston = 360, 2K Australia = PC.

8800gts is supposed to be low end? if they maxxed it out on a 8600gt then it would be impressive. 1600x900 in rainbow 6 vegas runs ok on a 8800gts so its hardly impressive.

The graphics will be quite a bit better than crappy rainbow six vegas :rolleyes:

well the benchmark for performance this game has to meet is half life 2 and farcry. if it can give graphics as good as those game with similar system requirements of those games then its all good. but from what iv seen of the unreal engine 3 on the pc so far in the 2 games released i really doubt it can impress.

BioShock is a very impressive looking game, so is Rainbow Six Vegas, difference is one of them looks better and doesn't run like a banged out Vauxhaul Nova.

If it runs smooth at 1600x1050 in DX10, at like 40fps+, all max, then it's impressive, it will looks a hell of a lot better than HL2, rainbow Six vegas etc.., obviously not much impresses you...

The blur ****** me off, even with it off there was still rubbish in stuff, I thought it looks like crap, usage of low res textures too, and the performance it had, says it all really.

Collectors edition only has the figure, the LE has a steal case, the normal version is normal dvd case no extras. I think someone warned ppl of this happening.

If thats the pc version tho, i doubt well be seeing that user for months hehe if hes installing it as we speak.

If it is and he comes back lets hope he can let us know how it performs maxed out etc and how the controls are.

It's limited/collectors edition, the one without the figurine and stuff is the Limited Edition Steelcase.

i agree for the amount of system speed required the rainbow 6 graphics were proper crap, and low rez textures too.
