Wow, a 2900 outdoing a GTX. Suprised.

Im not tbh, the 2900 out did the GTX on R6V this was bound to follow suit. Also it dipped to 36 fps on the water bridge part as somthing was loading after that it was back up to 60 odd on the bridge :D

wow! 4kbs! only 170 hours left to go!

so are torrents the only way atm to get reasonable rates?

scummy torrents

You'll get max download speed if you download from rapidshare or a newsgroup server. I get a max of 900kb/s on both rapidshare and newsgroups.

Has rapidshare gone down? I cant get flashget or manual downloads to work!

I guess they will be getting hammered if they are the main fast source for the demo.

No it's fine here, you do have a rapidshare account don't you?

Make sure you put in your log in information if you're using flashget/gigaget etc.

Is the 2900 doing better with the current drivers then?

Is there any Rapidshare links for the demo yet guys?

:D JUST PLAYED DEMO :D

At my native res of 1360x768:
Vsync on it either does 60fps (mostly) or 30fps.
Vsync off & where it was doing 30 it now does 57  but with lots of tearing :(

Anyway its early days yet, are there some drivers on the way?

look bubbles, an angel..... creepy stuff

Yea if the FPS goes below 60 the engine locks to 30fps

With VSYNC on it goes

60
30
15

afaik.

I have some disappointing news. Those of you with X-Fi cards who wish to enable EAX will experience a considerable reduction in frame rate :( I've been experimenting with the settings and with EAX enabled performance drops by around 20 FPS. Something tells me that the 64MB of RAM on my X-Fi isn't being utilised.

Woot, never heard about gigaget, what an awesome app, ty for the link.
My DL is going nice and fast :D

Since I play my 360 through my monitor, I would be able to compare the 2 games, literaly side by side with my x1900XT (256mb) as well as the sound q (again, 360 runs through PC).

Wish I could take screenshots with both systems, to help others with the same spec make up their minds.

Halfway through downloading and Virgin just throttled my connection from 4mb to 2mb. 1h43 remaining, from 50 minutes. I feel murderous.
