Solution:
Please download and install the following hotfix file to address this issue.

I can't link directly so you'll have to search the ATi site for "737-29041" then grab the Hotfix
 
The new Nvidia drivers work a treat, in the first section down to the pod, I get between 105 and 70fps most of the time with only occasional drops down to 58-56fps. Now considering what is going on in this game thats majorly impressive

Im glad im starting to see my hardware pay off now, Hopefully this will get everyone off Ati, nvidia and especially Vistas DX10 backs!

Sorry - I updated the other thread about this but not the other one.

I thought that too and hence the surprise...

But he neglected to mention that he'd chucked an X1550 in there before installing the game... Bah :/

Still, it played it reasonably well.
 
I've played around with the EAX performance issue I was having. Turns out it isn't the EAX but something to do with having 7.1 surround sound enabled. Seems to run much better just using stereo.
 
Forceware:163.44 BETA 'Bioshock Driver'
Card:8800 GTS 640mb

Results:

Max:120 FPS
Avg:70FPS
Min:40FPS

VSync off (there was hardly any tearing)
Everything else on :D


RESULT= :D :D :D

Im still yet to teat other games and there is still no fan control for 8800 in vista :(

Probabilly said some where but what are you full specs? Monitor res and is that DX10 FPS?
