wow that means nothing

You could have either made it up or just looked at a wall for 10 mins.

I'll wait on some proper benchmarks rather than you trying to trump the 2900xt all the time.

Yea sure whatever. I knew that would actually come from a GTX owner :D . It's a well known fact the 2900s are faster than the GTX/GTS in Rainbow Six Vegas so hows about you engage your brain and think. It's ok if you don't believe me it's perfectly legit I only post fact.

LOL this is OcUK, you know some people around here are incapable of that. :)

Oh you crept out your hole did you, great everyone bow down and prepare to be amazed by a cunning wit and the hot air that passes by :o .

I'll try a new benchmark with the new ATi drivers. Im pleased to see your score has improved Jono those drivers have definetly done somthing good. I'll rebench with the ATi drivers and see whats improved.

Oh and btw if the demo dosn't support AA nor will the full game. Why would they put out a demo which does not represent the final product. Would be mindless.

i am sorry it just annoys me when someone makes baseless claims that the 2900xt is faster than the 8800gtx in the bioshock demo with absolutely no proof but some numbers they put up.

If the 2900xt does indeed turn out faster than the 8800 ( which indeed it might) then great, but people posting absolutely baseless rubbish does not help in determing whether the game runs well for people.

I wouldn't make up the benchmark look around check other 2900 users fps numbers they will match up near enough. Im not that desperate ;) . Nothing baseless about it I made sure it was all fair but that's your choice whether you listen or not :)

Hmm, I don't think I mentioned you.

Guilty conscience? :)

no but it was indirectly aimed at me and Jono's. This is the PC forum you can expect people to debate on how the game runs. If people don't like that I think they would fit in perfect in the console forum :)

Stop nit picking. :p

that's exactly what it is. 2K didn't allow AA for a reason what that is who knows. It's not even in DX10 mode. The jaggies are very subtle on this game im just going to enjoy the game instead of worrying too much about jaggies. :)

So does forcing AA work in DX10 but not DX9, I dont get it, most screenshots I seen have too many jaggys for my liking in, including a guy with an 8800GTX sent me, was at like 1600x1200 aswell.

AA dosn't work full STOP. DX10 or DX9. There is a difference between seeing a screenshot and playing it in motion. It's barely noticeable unless your picky

Why should they dispatch it tomorrow in order to get it for Friday? The well known chain of UK stores dispatch theirs the day before release and it always arrives on time...

Because it's 2 day delivery. :). Most games normally arrive before the day of release so Id expect them to send it tommorow or wednesday most likely tommorow.

if its scheduled release in the uk is friday, u aint getting it thursday mate

I don't give a toss what day its scheduled for. In the past I have recieved all my games the day before release from this particular site I have ordered from it's been the case 100% of the time.

Took 20 screens

clicky

Really doesn't sem to support crossfire judging by framerate in some of those pics. Thats with the dx10 effects enabled.

You have VSYNC on in those?

Also your FPS seems to drop a fair bit on the start bit, mine didn't drop below 30 on that part. On DX10

So you got fsaa working through the control panel? I didn't think it would work by doing that.

It dosn't I see enough people claiming that they have enabled AA through there drivers. But the bottom line is this game does not support AA. Until a chucky patch or w.e is released It wont work anyway until then...

Gerard said:
Probably more to do with cpu speeds then, yours at 3.6 mine at 3.

That was DX10 mind it was at least double with DX9

As for optimising I would presume that's it for DX9 since thats performing great. The ATi driver is very young and that has a long way to go still so Id think DX10 improvements for sure to come.

FSAA certainly seems to work in XP with the new 163.44 driver as long as you choose the "override any application setting" option in the driver profile.

8xAA with 16xAF is a good compromise for performance/IQ with all in game options at highest.

Give us some comparison shots then..
