i need a reason to buy one :)

Yea, sure, why not? :p

In fairness though it probably uses as many cores as it can get it's hands on. What matters is how well it uses them. Probably one for main thinking, one for physics, one for sound and one for loading in the background. That's how Alan Wake will put them to use anyway.

im sure i will be ok running biocock, and damn that trailer looks amazing.

Also, do you reckon this game will be scary?

Pretty sure I read it doesn't, only game I've seen Quad Core make a difference in is SupCom, wait till next year at the moment aside SupCom it's all about clock speed.

It's been stated by the devs that it scales to dual-core very well, but quad core less so. You get some benefit, but not as much as the switch from single to dual core.

If anyone with an 8800 DOESN'T get it on the pc....they need a slap :p

Just read the official 360 mag review of it (10/10) and they thought it was brilliant... However I'm still not convinced :p I'm going to need a demo around about now :p When do you think we'll see one?

late august is all they've said afaik, if a 95% review from pc gamer (plus a whole host of other 9-10/10's) doesn't persuade you then what on earth do you need? :p

I know this is getting slightly old but do you think my set-up will run it well?

E6400 @ 3.2
2GB @ 800mhz
Two x1950pro 256mb crossfire

Only thing im concerned about is the graphics. I ask as my brother is getting the 360 version, but the pull of a keyboard/mouse means id probably put up with worse graphics. How do you think my set-up will compare against the 360?

If the game is well optimized for SLi/crossfire, then it will run probably near maxed out in dx9 (360 standard), if its not well optimized, i rekcon medium settings.

I reckon you can easily pull of 360 equivalent or better with that setup.
