The one you suspect is gay...

I have a couple of suspicions about a couple of people I used to go to school with but I'd never approach them on it as they're not exactly the open type and might not appreciate it, and I don't actually care.

I've beem mistaken for being gay before, I was hit on 3 times in one night. I was wearing a new pair of River Island stone washed blue jeans and a FCUK shirt which was a bit tight. I never buy expensive clothes, and I figured I'd treat myself, turns out that when I make an effort to look good, I look gay. Fantastic. :o

I was with a lady friend at the time which made it even more confusing. :p

I think the 1 in 10 stuff is way over the top too

I'm not sure how accurate the figure is and I doubt we'll ever really know, but it doesn't seem that far out to me. There were 90 people in my 6th form, and off the top of my head I can think of 6 that were gay or bi. I'd maybe expect 1 or 2 more that I didn't know about.

This sums up what I mean.

He puts his arms around me like guys do with girls (around the back and to the side of the tummy), I usually turn to him and ask what the hell is he doing. He thinks its all normal ! we make jokes about him being in the closet all the time, but he uses the fact that he's had a gf since he was 16 as evidence that he is straight. He is probably straight but it wouldn't suprise us one bit if he like guys in some kind of way.

You have asked him and he still does it? A punching is in order if you ask me.

The only time that it is acceptable for men to touch is when shaking hands or when absolutely bladdered and singing a rugby song and even then only an arm around the shoulder is acceptable. :D

I have a mate who hugs other blokes, me included and quite often come to think of it. He's just not as emotionally retarded as most blokes, I know full well he's not gay. I bet most guys here could have done with a hug from a mate at a really low point in their lives but didn't due to the social stigma, which is BS tbh. Unless he's humping your leg while he's hugging you I can't see the problem.

Hugging is fine, i do that to both male and female. Not when you are sitting in a pub round a table, then he puts his left arm round your back to the wriast and kind rubs it a bit....I almost jumped out of my chair !

Fair play mate, didn't realise it was that bad. :p

My mum may have had her concerns about me, I wasn't interested in women til nearly 19. I found football, basketball and computer games much more interesting than breasts til then. :/

Most of the people i know will openly admit it if asked. Admit it and people dont take the mick, dont admit and people rip the living daylights out of you.

Doesnt bother me as long as they leave me alone. One thing i will admit, the people that are bi/gay are people you would never expect, ive had a few shocks in my time.

Never been suprised personally. Can spot them a mile off.

Went to a gay pub on Old Compton Street on Friday night with another hetero mate and the bouncer on the door asked us if we realised it was a gay bar when we entered. This only confirms that I ooze heterosexualness.
Either that, or they took one look at you and thought, "a real homo couldn't be dressed quite so badly" ;) :p The bunny hairband only confirms my theory...

I had a few friends in high school who I thought were gay. I lost all contact with one of them, although I did hear that he was with a woman at some point, and the other two came out when they went to uni.
Should I seek professional help if I inadvertedly read it as "he was a woman at some point"? :o I almost jumped in surprise, especially since not many people choose to change their sex, and then change their mind...

lol, I was on way home from the pub with a couple of mates over crimbo. They decided it was fun to start trying to hump me as i'm walking along.
Little did we know that my dad was pulled up in the bus lane to give us a life home lol.

"Oh, so is that what you get up to when you're out?"
*Turns to my friend*
"You a poof?"

Then he burst out laughing :p

My dad knows i'm not gay and he knows my mates aren't, but that's just my dad through and through.

I havnt ever thought you were gay, but then I do know of your psycho ex's.
Ha, nah, im not gay asin, i like the men, but i do a lot of very gay things, and my housemates all have there suspicions, which is strange for me because theyve seen me bringing girls back from nights out, theyve heard me having sex with these girls etc etc. And yet, theres 2 other guys in the house who havnt pulled anything let alone a girl yet, and there sexuality isnt questioned.

Girls (and Murf apprently :p ) tend to have awesome Gaydar. Im constatnly being told by my gf that so and so is definitly gay.

I've never been caught out. I don't even have to hear them and see them at the same time. I can tell from either mannerisms or their voice, within 2 seconds flat. It's a gift. :p

I got quite upset when someone called me gay. I told my missus and she just laughed saying that I am possibly the least gay person she has ever known.
