The ongoing Elon Twitter saga: "insert demographic" melts down

It looks like musk also got rid of a lot of the pr people, apparently the bbc tried to contact one for a comment only to be told he'd just been fired.

This is oddly amusing, it's like musk has bought twitter and is sacking everyone whose job he doesn't think is essential, whose job he doesn't understand, or whose job he doesn't like.
I suspect this could go down in business classes as how to tank a company in record time.

What can you do when you're the richest man in the world? What ever the **** you like. Feel sorry for the thousands of people losing their jobs for this narcissists amusement.

It is stra gely similar to liz truss' time as prime minister, in that it'll be a historic event studied in the future, about how to quickly someone can totally mess something up.

Yup indeed, I know you tend to go with the NPC takes on this stuff but I seriously doubt Elon has become a "Trumper", you're getting a bit carried away with the hype that these sorts of news events/stories generate, as per usual...

"NPC" yuck, how embarrassing.

You are on here fighting the corner of an objectively rather horrible tech billionaire with multiple personality disorders, doing the normal gambit of trying to appear as though you aren't taking a side or position, whilst obviously always siding with the objectively stupid and/or horrid person or idea being discussed.

You don't seem to be able to comprehend anyone having any sort of opinions you can't fit into some box, no room for nuance. Elon is a Trumper, dowie obviously supports Elon on everything even if he says differently... I mean it might make it simple for you to cope with, no need to read or try to understand what others have to say but it's pretty dumb.

And here we have, the user known as dowie. When stuck, it often reverts back to its safety words to try and win an argument it has no way of ever hoping of winning.

The dowie doesn't do this as a method to attract a mate, but to pat itself on the back and award itself Internet points.

The dowie is a predictable user, you can see the name appear and already know the post that will follow.

"youre making no sense"

"youre an npc"

"I'm sorry but I'm lost"

Are all songs sung by the dowie that you can easily hear if you only sit patiently for a few minutes.

the usual suspect will quietly support this post style with false likes. This is a form of 'bonding' to ensure the clique is strong and to give off the appearance of being correct. The dowie does however know deep down that for all his cheap likes, they are valueless and they come from scraping the bottom of the barrel

:D

Sorry, that makes no sense if the issue is cheap meat

Makes no sense but I guess he thinks it sounded smart...

That makes no sense

, you're not making any sense

That makes very little sense

That also doesn't make much sense

That makes no sense tbh

You're making no sense as per usual

it doesn't make any sense

People should wear it as a badge of honour that they have caused the dowie to get to this stage in an argument :p

Nope. Yours are extraordinarily easy to fit into a box. You like to think they are not, but it is very transparent how you actually feel about everything.

It occurs to me that this whole thing serves as a ideal example of how pursuing "shareholder value" does not inherently align with the good of the business.

Twitter's board forced through this deal, despite the fact they knew Musk would be a disaster, because it made the shareholders money.
