Awaiting the X-Files to be leaked.

Awaiting the X-Files to be leaked.
Apparently he's tried to do the same before with PayPal, renaming it to the exact same x.com.
The sad thing is, I agree with his thoughts on how PayPal have evolved. It's a crime that PayPal is a shadow of a company of what it could have been.
Being pedantic, X.com merged with PayPal in the early 00's and then eBay purchased PayPal a few years later, one of the largest sales at the time i believe, which i think is where a lot of Musk's (big) initial wealth came from (other than his parents).X changed to PayPal. Hence why he still owns x.com.
'Twitter' and 'Tweet' are part of the x-icon. Seems crazy to junk that sort of brand recognition
If it quacks like a duck it's a duck right
I'll be sad to see it go, but Musk owns the platform and he can do what he likes with it. There's a lot of people overreacting massively to this change.
nothing wrong with that. i understand when you see what other countries are doing, china, india etc with 1 app to rule them all, it's understandable someone with 200billion might see a gap in the western market.Heard an interview with Musk a few years ago where he was going on about his "everything" app, seems to have been an obsession of his for a long time.
i don't understand. didn't that user so far up elons back side he can read elons thoughts, tell us elon wasn't interested in making money, but instead bought twitter to give free speech. How the person interviewing him doesn't burst out laughing is beyond me. Half the global financial system through his app Lay off the ketamine Elon.
I've said this several times before, yet apparently people still don't understand that he bought Twitter to be a platform for free speech, not because he wanted to make money out of it. He simply wants Twitter to break even in the next couple of years. He generally isn't running companies because he cares about earning money, he doesn't buy yachts or expensive cars or own a house, - I think the only lavish thing he does is have a private jet, which is for his business - yet people on here are obsessed with him losing money

x.com doens't seem like it has anything to do with free speech...
it seems more likely that elon bought twitter to grab 250million users quickly, so that he could jump into this x app (using the success made by others at twitter) to jump start his x idea, which would be solely to make money.
nothing wrong with elon doing that, well there is if you are a twitter user, but what i mean nothing wrong with attempting the "x" idea, whatever it is, it's just the (what is that expression when someone makes their followers look like fools, pie in face or something like that?) that i find funny here.
idk, from what i heard about paypal, he wanted to do this a long time, even buying x.com domain back from paypal some years ago, well before twitter stupid idea came to him.Lol, this is not some grand, well thought over plan that has been in the works for years.
He's done it over a weekend, using a unicode logo and a very hastily cobbled together website change.
It seems more likely he got high/drunk over the weekend, thought he had the best idea ever, and demanded his minions make it so immediately.

There's currently an electric car that he built orbiting the Earth on a rocket he built, some how you find the notion of an all encompassing banking app hard to believe though
