Without increasing the CPU volts you're bound to be hitting instability at 270+.

140 divider I think you can stretch to, and ALWAYS run the max Vdimm you can, preferably 3.1-3.2Vdimm. I can't stress enough that it is perfectly safe for quality RAM like corsair... 2.6v is FAR too low for any good overclocking with stability.

And Darth... if you're running sucha low Vcore surely you know that you need to raise it to get more mhz, especially on a CABGE?

Give it some Vdimm, try 2.9V for a start

okay dont want to push it to far as this AKASA HSF dont look upto the job (still waiting for Big T)

it does have my temps at 36 idle and 40 load with window open

See where 1.5V gets you, your HS won't struggle too much, just watch your load temps

Its the voltage regulation circuits, on the right of the CPU socket, where the three mofset heatsinks are.

CPU - wouldn't go above high 50s load, chipset I wouldn't like to see in the 60s ever, PWMs are pretty solid, 60s-70s are high but not going to worry me too much.

and when I get my BIG T they should be even better as its so big it will cool the PWM and ram, its a pitty the chipset fan blows away at 7000 rpm

okay wont boot @ 280mhz with the Voltage at 1.55.

would upping them memory or overvolting in the bios help?

Not sure if its a memory problem, shouldn't be, it may well be the divider problem I was having.

Yup worked a real treat, CPU temp is currently 29 degrees, not a lot more load
