The Opteron Skt 939 Overclocking thread !!!!

Recieved my second 148 cabye today, my first one of these does 3.0ghz 1Mb Super Pi stable. The new one is 1Mb Super Pi stable at 3.1ghz using 1.7v.

27.5 seconds for the 1Mb test.

I've got a 144 cabne coming in the next day or two, can't wait to see how high it will go now :)

Nem how are you getting the cpu's with good stepping all the time.Is it ok to email you?
The first 148 cabye was a lucky find, the second I ordred from the same place as the first when I saw they had 1 left in stock, turned out to be exact same stepping as I hoped. The 2nd one just seems slightly better reaching 3.1ghz.

The 144 cabne is coming from belgum from a bloke who runs some forums over there, bit of a risk as had to pay via paypal and all communication has been in french which I've translated. Wait and see now, but I think it will be fine.

I have had a 146 cabge which I recieved 2 days back, which is now sold. So it's just luck and being in the right place at the right time, and having a credit card and not being afraid to use it to buy 4 cpu's in one week.

Getting rid of my 3800 Venice and ordering 1 of the 144's or possibly the 146.£10 says i get the worst possible stepping chip  :D

this guy is suicidle, hes got a 146 cabne but look at the volts
that must be 1.9V

IMo you can't claim to be in the 3ghz club unless it's a 24/7 stable overclock. :p
here is my 24/7 overclock...

Welcome to the club mate :D Have you tried priming at that speed?
ok here is a 32M run no tweaks 3205mhz. I can do a prime or sp2004 how long do you want me to do it for?

Fair play mate, i've yet to recieve anything, not suprised since i ordered both my CPUs when they were listed as out of stock.

Ordered a 144 from a competitor and a 146 from another competitor both similar prices and cheaper than OcUK, but i cant see them being anything other than CABGEs as thats what early reports are saying. Either way should still be a great deal coupled with a DFI Ultra-D (modded to SLI) TwinMOS with Samsung UCCC chips and an X800 GTO2 :D

Only thing left to decide on is a PSU, i'm really favouring the OCZ Powerstream as they are supposed to be one of the best PSUs you can buy, especially for the DFI boards.

I've bought pretty much the same system as you. :)

Received Nem's 146 today, an Ultra-D and a GTO2. Will have to compare benchies. :D

i got my refund off the competitor today, so i'm a happy bunny... still eagerly awaiting my 146 off OcUK :)

it's good too as it looks like i'm going to be flogging my current system to the girlfriend
she's flogging hers to a mate, so the money she makes of that goes towards her buying my system, and then her money from that goes towards me buying my upgrade :D

happy days... expect a post in General Hardware in the next few weeks from me as i sit there going hmmm what to spend my hard earned *cough* HAHA *cough* money on...

Tamille welsome to the boards good to see more phase users :) And great speeds

kesnel what ram/latencies/htt you using those spuepi are pretty poor dude

Yeah, my Super PI shot at 3.35Ghz is appalling. At the time of the screenshot RAM was at 167mhz 2.5-4-4-8 (very very slack as I couldn't be bothered to tighten them at the time and I was merely testing for CPU stability).

With RAM at 167mhz 2-2-2-5 I could get around 27.0xx 1M. I'll get another screenshot of that when I visit home again.

It's a real shame I can't run the memory over 200mhz on this under phase. If I could run the RAM at what I wanted then this thing would fly. Although I suspect it may have been a motherboard issue as my mobo will only boot with 1 DIMM now :p. I'm going to give it another go on a DFI Ultra D when I manage to get my hands on one.

Nothing wrong with the CPU at that speed though; passes 32m, 3D Mark, S&M and SP2004.

Missed your post last night sorry tamille. Nice clocks. :)

Does your chip not have the cold bug?
