The Opteron Skt 939 Overclocking thread !!!!

well if you all entered a number above 10 and it maxes at 9.99 perhaps it doesnt allow numbers higher than that.. just needs resolving by the creator :)

Doh my fault, having a 144 I forgot to test the multiplier  Will fix it today or tomorrow, MySQL database is on my old drive and I ermmmmm just built my new rig.

With your cooler mate you should be more than fine for 2700mhz at stock volts... don't undeerstimate the stock cooler... and don't overestimate your temps. Stock volts and 2700mhz is still almost as cool as 2500mhz.

Hehe, must admit I hate testing software I've written. A few bugs always manage to creep through. Nice DB otherwise :)

Could you also take a look at the memory divider field, and the temp fields so they'll allow minus temps? :)

Cheers for the links above :)

Just getting this stable @ 2.8.. had to bump the volts to 1.625 and I put the chipset voltage upto 1.65 to see if that helps too.

edit: Seems to fail SP2004 after about 20mins on both CPU & Blend tests :( Temps were about 55c.

What RAM have you got Demon? What stepping is your processor? I run my 144 CAB2E at 2340mhz (260x9) at 1.4v (lowest my mobo will go) and RAM at 212mhz on a 166 divider. My RAM is Geil Value 2x512mb, and somehow it is stable at 2,3,3,5 1T!!!

I can get into windows at 300x9 (2700), but at 1.5v it is unstable. What motherboard do you have?

Cheers,

Danza

I have 1GB(2*512MB Matched) Corsair XMS3200C2PT.CPU is a CABNE @ 1.45v and RAM is at 216.8Mhz on 166 Divider @ 2.5,3,3,6 2T.
My mobo is an Epox 9NDA3+

**EDIT** Upto 2.5Ghz(278*9) with RAM at 227.3Mhz

My 144 failed Sp2004 after 6hours!!! That sucks! I'd still consider that pretty stable though. I'm going to run another all day Sp2004 stress test tomorrow with settings 9x311 which is still 2.8Ghz but 4 less than when it failed, i'm tempted to put the volts up to, what do people think?

...

Bossman.

I'd run a program like CPUburn in, or Burnmax (better from what I've read) for 2.8GHz @ 1.5v for say 2-5 hours then try priming with SP2004. I'm not sure if it will work, but apparently some people have had good results from this method, apparently it only works if your system is near stable and not erroring all the time (sounds like your system).

Strangly I couldn't hit 2700 at stock volts. I could try running a lower divider on the ram. I was running it at a 166 divider (CPU/12?), which puts it over 200MHz but this Corsair _should_ be fine over 200MHz. Right?

Edit: Tried it on a 133 divider and Prime fails after about 20 seconds. That's 270x10 stock volts (with the CPU/RAM in my sig and an EPOX 9NDA3 Ultra.)

Currently running Opty 144 CABNE CPU@290x9/1.55v, RAM@133/2.6v, [email protected], HT is set to 3x. Not sure of the stability though, ran SuperPI 32M in 30.38, 25114 on 3dMark01, but Mark03/05 have really major problems running. Got the latest version of both but they run with major graphical glitches and won't even finish. Tried knockin the CPU down a bit but when the same was happening @250 i decided it wasn't really gonna make a difference. Can someone please point me where to go next on this? also i couldn't get it to run any higher than 275 under the above settings without removing 1gb of RAM. I'm left with 1gig at the minute, anyone who can suggest how to get it running with the 2nd then i'd much appreciate it. really lost on what to do next if anyone could help us out, cheers.
