The Opteron Skt 939 Overclocking thread !!!!

Return the board mate... just refuse to accept it. Then when it goes back phone OCUK for a refund and get an Ultra instead. Sensible thing to do, you dont have to accept a board youre not satidfied with just for the sake of it, thats silly. The Ultras are miles better. :)

I bought a DFI LSI-DR. :)

lol how many times does this have to be repeated... I FRACTURED MY ARM AND WAS HOSUEBOUND! Nothing to do all day except post, and this forum is pretty fast-paced. :p :D

Maybe I should add that to my sig or something. :o

ive just got my 144 cab2e 0540fpmw.
now, do i open it to clock the pants off it or leave it sealed and not disturb my 3ghz 146?
decisions

Leave it sealed and sell it for a £15 profit on Ebay. If you have a 3ghz CPU already then thank your lucky stars and enjoy it... the CAB2E's are good but they're not clocking like the CABYE's. :)

He's having trouble with 3.1 but i'm sure he'll post later and let ya know. He is doing reasonably shoddy mounts with generic thermal goop though. :)

The 150's have been getting great clocks... it's just they cost about 2.5x more than a 146... making them completely useless from a value perspective. Way too expensive. :)

*Set multiplier to 8x

*Set HTT to 300

*LDT Multi at 3x

*Set memory divider to 133mhz

*Vcore 1.55v

*Vdimm at 3.0v

*Chipset voltage 1.7v

LDT voltage at 1.3v

Then see if it boots at that... if it does try 310. The lower multi will take the cpu speed out of the equation and make sure you know whether it is a CPU problem or not.

Not for 'standard' memory it isn't ,for example I wouldn't want to push DDR400 Crucial over 2.8v.

Actually it is fine. All memory is safe to 3.2-3.3v... whether it is stable or not is another matter. It's only really 3.4v+ that you can run the risks of damaging memory.
