The ORange Box on STEAM!!!!

I'll be getting this on 360 simply because the black box isn't available on retail. My gaming machine isn't online so I dont want to mess around with steam. Add to that most of my friends will be getting it on 360 and i want to play multiplayer with them and its an easy decision.

You also get HL2, ep...0? HL2, anyway.

I'd guess 'No' on the pre-ordering a hard copy, unless retailers have some kind of agreement with Valve. Think the release specifically said 'Steam' tho.

Yes but I already have HL2 as stated above.

For those with X360's, would their online games be separate from PC's? I'd imagine so, worth asking though :o
 
I just bought it and it charged me 55 dollars instead of the 45 advertised


I assume they missed out tax on the original price

they dont even tell you its gonna be added on until after you've paid, *****s

Yep unfortunatley mate, the advertised prices dont include VAT/Tax

It's technically possible, but apparently they're not going to include it - Valve wanted to but had some interference from publishers. Shame - would have been a good laugh to have different systems on there, and multiplied the playerbase somewhat.

It's possible, but I doubt it. If Steam were to be integrated with Windows Live so it could talk to Xbox Live, it would work, but I think they'll leave them separate. Probably best in my opinion, as KB+Mouse will be a serious advantage over the controller users.

In the USA every price doesnt include Tax, whereas over here everything has VAT included, well items where VAT is aplicable it is automatically included. It's just how the USA works, annoying when you go into a 99c store as everythings always comes out over the $1 in your pocket ! :(

I guess you never played Quake3 on the PC against Dreamcast users. It was pathetic watching them try to play properly. :p
 
I was tempted to go for this but I have a preorder at £20.70 (includes a 10% discount) which is just to cheap to pass up!
 
Peggie Extreme is quality ! Shame it was only a demo, thought it was the full game, thats an extra $9.95 :(
Completed the demo of it already, might buy in the future!
 
Valve have basically said that The Black Box will come out on steam, however, when it comes is the question.
If it is not announced by Sunday then i am gonna pre-order The Orange Box and try and sell on HL2 and EP1 to a friend, otherwise i will wait for the black box or get retail Orange Box for the cheaper price.
 
Is right, just bought this beauty, after watching the TF2 trailers on Steam it swayed my decision. I will also be playing HL2 and EP1 until the new games are released.
 
Resuming my pre-load of TF2...I noticed someone on here had a screenshot showing more info than I have, including download rate...anyone tell me how to get that up? Mine just shows progress.

Lies, lies! I'm hoping all my old BEERZnWORMZ mateys start playing again, and even some of the guys from Godshots may make a return and bring back the days of 5am sniping battles on bounce! :)
