The ORange Box on STEAM!!!!

I just caved in lol ;)

Looking forward to Monday. What do we know about the Beta for TF2 ? Does it include all maps in final retail version would you think ?

As it may well have been said before, yes you will be able to buy them seperately. However, buying TF2, EP2 and portal individualy will most likely work out more expensive than the orange box.

The orange box is a package offering you TF2, EP2 and portal for a cheaper price with EP1 and HL2 thrown in for free. I don't think they're ripping you off, just giving you more than you may need.

£27 expensive for a student ? lol don't be silly now, going in to my final year, haven't worked over summer yet £27 is easily worth it, its what a loan/grant was made for, enjoying uni life and not scrapping by!

Cant wait to play TF2, played TFC a bit when it was out bu nowhere near as much as some people I know did!

Wowsers this is fantastic deal! I own HL2 and have done since release and HL2 was worth it for CS:S alone.

I'll be picking up a hard copy when its released, yes I'll have a duplicate HL2 but for 4 other games at £25, it's a deal!

The Black Box was cancelled for Retail, but I think it will be available via Steam, in one form or another.

Are people saying that if you buy the Orange box [via Steam], you'll be able to give away the Half-Life 2 & Half-Life 2: Episode One games?
 
Yes, if you buy the Orange Box and you already have one of the games on your steam account you can send someone else that game through steam.
If they don't have steam then they will get an email saying "hey download steam and you play your free game from blah blah"

So even if you have HL2 / EP1, you could give them to a mate for a few quid and get some money back, therefore no money wasted :)
 
Ah, just found it on Steam site, been at work and couldn't see any gaming stuff.

Sounds okay, can give my brother Half-Life 2 and Episode One that way.
 
I hope the online community for TF2 is large!1

I honestly can't wait. Are both Portal and TF2 going to be released on 10th of October? Also will these games be linked to my steam account if I buy a hard copy?

If you buy the hard copy and put the CD-Key into steam it will put the games onto your list.
