The Pascal Titan X and XP Owners Thread

Well in some games the perf increase is only 10FPS over a 1080 which at least to me wouldn't be worth the massive outlay.

I'll watch more vids and read more reviews first before deciding anything.
I was using a 1080 for 2 weeks on my PG348Q while my txp system was down.Believe me there is a very noticeable difference.10/15fps is a lot at that res when trying to get the best of gsync@100Hz.

Mostly used the TXP playing FarCry Primal since getting it a month ago. Today after a few hours gaming and 1hour+ up North in the snow I had two occurrences of artefacting, big squares/triangles appearing....hoping it's not the sign of a GPU hardware problem :(.

Are you using the crap air cooler that Nvidia sell it with if so that will give you heat problems.

The stock cooler wont cause any heat problems, if temps get to a certain threshold it will clock back , its called thermal management, not to be confused with throttling when something is overheating.

Agree. It does have the stock cooler which I'm more than happy with TBH - not interested in overclocking GPU's or water cooling although might try it someday.
Only had the one occurrence so far so might not be anything anyway, or driver or game related. Have played the same game for 2+ hours since and all been okay :D. Am enjoying gaming more than ever with this card.

After all the talk of vega, and what it can and cant do I am real pleased I got the titan now. at first I was thinking it could be short lived, but now Vega isn't going to surface until june ish. the 1080ti looks like its a maybe, if vega beats the 1080. The titan XP is going to serve me well.

Waste of money and you do nothing but fund the NVIDIA greed machine, how could you??!

Just saying it now so nobody else has to :p

Great card, I'm jealous.

I felt that way at first with this being my first Titan.I looked at others and taught you're mad.I eventually joined the club and now when I fire it up all those negative taughts just disappear:)I believe I will now skip a gen with this card.Well that's what I hope.

Going by your sig, regardless if a card came out that beat the TP...you'd be able to afford it and buy it anyway :)

lucky lad :)

Thing is even if amd do release a txp beater it would be not worth upgrading to anyway from txp so those who bought soon after release have had plenty of gaming time already. Think for the games I play one will last me few years before needing to upgrade

That's what I'm doing. My two Maxwell Titan-X's still play any games I've got at max settings. The only real kick in the teeth is when the new cards come out and yours loses 50% of its value. But if you do skip a generation I think they're not "that" bad value wise.

And now nvidia have upped the price to £1179!!

I was on the verge of upgrading but I'll sit tight now. I guess they are trying to open up a nice price gap to slot in the 1080ti at around £1k
