Yeah, all those consoles humping the new PS3 slim.
Same, I've got a PS3 in the living room, but think I might buy a new fat PS3 for my room.

To be honest I was quick to say I'd buy one. Depends on what the new pricing on the Fat ones ends up being.

May get one as it's a hell of a lot easier to play Blu rays on than via my eugh Vista PC, and can output full proper HD sound too.

Once I have some money I'll be in the market for a decent media player and this looks like it'll fit the bill nicely along with the added bonus of free online gaming

PS3 also has an HDD too, and all the other added stuff like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so it's unlikely it could be the same size anyway.
Anyone notice that Sony never called it the Slim? Much like the PS2 was never the playstation 2 slim, they just changed the name from playstation 3 to PS3. The people calling it slim are the journos, games stores etc, i still expect in the future say 2-3 years time there will be another redesign for a smaller PS3 to save even more money.
Im going to leave mine till later in the year, should have some good bundles then if MS do some price drops/SKU changes. If the upgrade? program is used for the new PS3 as it was for the DSi it may be worth being an early adopter.
Nope. Would love to play some of the exclusives, but when I have a massive backlog of PC & 360 games sitting on my shelves to tackle, I can't really justify buying another console!
Since I'm never an early adopter with console hardware, I'll probabably pick up my PS3 when the next generation kicks off and this one winds down, and use that to fill the time before the next generation gets established.

No - at least from past experience.
I'm 'almost' the same as you on that, the only exclusives I've seen that interest me is a few of the PSN titles like Nob Head Boy or whatever it's called, LBP and Katamari Tribute.
BluRay doesn't bother me at all as I don't have an uber sized TV to appreciate a few extra hundred lines of pixels.
I'm 50/50 at the mo, doubt I'd get one on actual release date, but probably more tempted to before Christmas.
Just waiting for that 'killer' game.
