60gb also has backward compatibility with ps2!
True but we're talking aesthetics here.
In summary:
60gb = Big and very shiny.
80gb = Big and quite shiny.
Slim = 66% big and not shiny.

60gb also has backward compatibility with ps2!
PS2 slim has an external PSU, thats why.
£249 is the RPP, surely there's websites doing deals or bundles on the pre-order to make it more enticing?
I'll deffo be getting one, the 'upgrade' from my 80GB SKU will work out a lot less expensive in the long run with the reduced electric bills I'll get from the lower power usage. I was just waiting for confirmation of the HDD upgradability.
As long as I can get over £150 for my current one, I'll be happy to pay the extra for a new model.
Keeping my 80GB PS3. I personally think it looks oodles better than PS3Slim.
Chrome + Shine = win.
I never said it would, but it'll help balance it out, especially as I have my PS3 running for approx 60hrs a week.I doubt it would save you £100 in electricity before it becomes obsolete tbh
You have a launch day 60GB model then? I didn't think the 80GB's did have the original design?![]()
Er um.. wot?![]()
Still too expensive and still no decent games (exclusives).
You said you had an 80GB version that had the chrome finish, I thought only the launch day 60GB version had the chrome finish and all the others had a mat finish![]()
No ill stick with the one ive got.
If you're only getting it for one game, then grab a pre-owned one for around £160ish from the MM, I guarantee there'll be good few crop up in the next couple of weeks. My trouble is that I'd consider a PS3 purely for Heavy Rain, however if I were to buy for just one game then the console would need to be at an enticing price. £250 doesn't cut it for me.
I'm in no way trying to turn this into a 360 vs PS3 debate, but if I didn't already own a 360 and I wanted to buy one say just so I could play Mass Effect 2, then I'd probably be able to do it all in all for £125 under some sort of special offer on a most basic 360.
I suppose what I'm getting as is where's the value for money, the 20 gig and 60 gig PS3 slims with varying accessories and scalable prices.
