****The Playstation 3 Slim Thread****

Don't understand why you did that, he makes a valid point.

Oh give up, This is said how often and sends threads spiralling out of control.

I could just as easily say Xbox 360 has no decent exclusives. It's possible I'm not wrong, as it depends on what a person likes.

As for 2 expensive, Once again. It depends on what you as a person consider expensive. Personally 250 quid for slim is a bargain to me. £200 for a fat, even more so.

Pre-ordered one last night, been wanting a console for awhile aswell as a blu-ray player so perfect timing for me.

Ordered GT5 Prologue and Everbodys Golf World Tour they turned up this morning.

The point is however highlighted in your own response.

You gave a 'response' where as the *facepalm* was just a pathetic reply. If I remember rightly I myself was 'blasted' several weeks ago for not going into a detailed discussion over something yet it seems when it comes to someone merely saying something is too expensive for their own budget and lacks games for their own enjoyment they get mocked.

Seems a lot of double standards if you ask me.

Like I've said earlier, the only 'exclusive' games that I've seen interest me are Noby Noby Boy, Katamari Tribute and LBP, even these '3' exclusive titles and the lower price of a PS3, does this make me an idiot if I don't rush out and buy one, or should I wait a bit longer for more exclusive titles and/or a lower price drop?

Or is it ultimately a personal opinion that I thought we were all allowed to give without fear of attack?

A bit more delving shows a couple of £130-ish faulty models. I notice that fat ps3s are still getting a good price on auction sites but I suppose the average man on the street doesn't know anything about the slim becasue it's not on shelves or TV. Good time to sell if someone wants to 'upgrade'

The PS3 isn't expensive. I don't think the Xbox360 works out any less for most people. If you want an xbox360, 120gb hardrive, 3-5 years online and chargable battery packs for the controllers (and a charger) how much would it cost? BTW I've got nothing against the xbox360, I wish I had bought one 3 years ago for for much they were and for how long they have been good. I might even be tempted when we see how good Alan Wake really is.

I'll be picking one up in the next month or so - slim or not doesnt really bother me (now i know its not added BC or anything) just find the cheapest and have it.
Price was never really a huge hurdle before but i lasted this long without it - a few extra weeks to save £50 was no problem.

I think the point he was trying to make is that saying "I won't buy x console as it has no decent exclusives" is trying to rouse fanboyism when it's better to say "I won't buy x console as none of the exlusives appeal to me/ I don't think any of the exclusives are very good." One causes threads to derail the other doesn't (well at least not as often :)).

*facepalm*

At least acknowledge there are good games on the PS3 even if they don't necessarily interest you. I acknowledge there are good games on the 360 (Fable, halo, gears, mass effect, forza, gta/fallout dlc ect) but those sort of games don't interest me enough to re-buy an xbox 360.

Anyone that says a PS3 is too expensive and is willing to spend £150+ on a graphics card like a GTX 260 needs a slap.

I do keep forgetting about the free online play, but that aside a moment I think the PS3 120 gig vs xbox 360 120 gig are comparable, but what about the other xbox models?

Don't you then need to keep buying batteries or get battey packs? Ok forget the battery packs. How much is the elite with 1 year online? Is the price difference between the two enough to determine which console you buy. Depends what someone wants out of it. If I bought an arcade for £130, within 3 months I would have the 120GB hardrive. I would want to be online from day 1. So whats that take it to? £230-250? Then theres bettery packs and a charger.

How are they comparable when one has Blu-Ray, Free on-line play, Rechargeable Controller as standard, Built-in Wireless receiver, Blue-tooth, and is quieter, better build quality, and estimated at around ten times more reliable in terms of failure rate.

For £20 more

This is a more eloquent way of explaining it.

Nice sig btw.
