****The Playstation 3 Slim Thread****

I got my Slim in Stansted for 217 With the new Batman game on my way home to Belfast well chuffed :D! Considering the batman game was 35 quid without the system!

Bit late to the party I guess :o, I'm liking the new form factor, the light up buttons are a nice touch, it's very quiet, I'd say a smidging quieter than my 40gb sku so not bad at all, seems quite well built as well.

Bit of a bummer that I have to re-download and install all my games again though, that's going to take me ages.
 
just been reading some of the previous posts regarding deactivating the ps3 , i just need some one to clarify something

i have a 320 hd in my 60gb phat ps3 ,do i deactivate the 320hd or do i put the 60hd back in and deactivate that one . , will be trading in my phat for a slim on sunday

Doesn't matter.

All the deactivation is tied to is PSN ID and console serial number.

I noticed this earlier. Can't be the HDD, as I have my 320GB in there which was in my Phat as well. Specifically, I was downloading content whilst installing, which is normally slower, but seemed very fast.

Hard to tell conclusively, maybe it is a firmware 3.00 related improvement, or a slim one.

I've not managed to get my bravia remote to work with the xmb etc yet. The sync is enabled and the simultaneous on/off business works fine. I think the bravia remote needs to be a type that has navigation buttons perhaps. Mine doesn't seem to, besides arrows for scrolling the tv menu screens.
 
I'm impressed with the Slim so far, having come from my bro's 60GB which I had for a couple of weeks. It's a lovely looking bit of kit, so much more noticeably smaller and quieter than the 60GB. That perhaps is more to do with the amount of airflow that is increased around the Slim compared to the limited space the 60GB operated in.

It's also, amazingly, my first PlayStation!

Interesting.

Will pick one up in a flash after trading in my 60gb launch but only once I hear the volume of them in a random batch size :p

Mainly use mine for blus now and boy does the 60gb make a racket.
 
Got my slim a few days ago so im still finding my way around it..
Moved over from the Xbox one thing i cant seem to get used to is the playing of music it all seems so all over the place

Also any other tips you guys have about it would be good
GO easy im new to the PS3....

Queue it up and away you go? I thought it was proper simple, but then again I never used my Xbox for music. You have it saved on the PS3 or external storage?

Picking up my slim tomorrow, friend desperate for a 60gb so will be selling them it for £150.
 
All on the PS3 yeah i just been messong and you play and skip it is simple maybe to simple lol.
