I prefer the glossy look of the original brick.
Very unlucky mate - though rather find it out now so its an easier swap than later in my opinion - deffo can understand the whole backup/restore being annoying - only done it twice myself but it takes loads of time to get everything how it was...Oh. My. God. I must be one of the unlucky ones then!Might need to give the place where I bought it a call. I swear. If I had to do another backup and restore of a PS3 I am going to implode!
Nope. That's it. I've had enough. It's definitely bust and it is subsequently going back. Can't believe it! I mean, just what the hell!!

Has anyone had an issue with their slim whereby it takes forever (like 10 seconds+) to sync controllers, headsets, keypad etc and sometimes it fails to sync completely?
I'm getting this issue!![]()
Just goes to qualify that the rest of Europe should speak English and do away with their silly faux langues. Half of that German advert was in English. Then we might get European localisation (read: no need apart from a bit of spelling 'favorite' to 'favourite' etc.) of games pronto.

I receive my new PS3 slim yesterday , very happy but 1 problem it does make more noise then my old PS3 , not sure if to take it back ?
Anybody else finding this problem ? i sometime wear headphone so i dont notice until i take them off
Had my 360 since launch and although i have enjoyed many hours on it i must say the slim pS3 trumps is in everyway, this is coming from someone who has never used a PS3 until buying my slim last week. Just everything about it is better, sleeker, smaller, better looking, much quieter, blu ray, wireless, re-chargeable pad, can use BRAVIA Sync with my tv, able to copy things to drive.
Is anyone else's quite clunky when it ejects or accepts a disc? Sounds much rougher than my old 40GB. Not a problem, just was surprised it wasn't as smooth as I expected it to be. (only just seen that a blue LED comes on too, which is pretty)
Yes it is a bit more 'clunky', quite a few people have noticed this (reviewers also) it's normal tbh, I guess it's because it's a different drive, mine isn't so bad inserting disks but ejecting there is quite a loud thud, will be interesting to see if it effects the life span of the drive, I guess only time will tell.
Get the original uncharted (best...game...ever) and the first assasins creed....just so you can play the second and understand it, the first is a good game, it does repeat itself but it is still very enjoyable
