Totally agree.
Bought the 480 when I had a 1080P TV as I game from my sofa, following month my wife decided we should upgrade the TV to a 4K set. Bloody timing as much as I love my 480 it's not what I would have bought with 4K in mind.
You are lucky.. Most wives would never have "decided" to upgrade anything IT or Home entertainment related but rather downgraded it to the trashcan
Yea i get that as well lol. I had a old 1080p 120hz monitor and i wanted to get a 1440p 144hz gsync monitor. All i got was what's wrong with that one. It works doesn't it? My response was.. Whats wrong with your old handbag? That worked didn't it? Do you really need 10 different kinds of handbags? Yea... Shaddap and let me buy my monitor.
I have been looking at upgrading my screen as it is now over 10 years old (!) and quite like the look of the superwides.
Question but how would going from a 1680 x 1050 to a possible 2560 x 1080 affect the performance of the 480 in games like BF1 ??
Which 480 is recommended for coolest running? I'd like to buy new GPU & monitor, I could go for 1060 but that means Nvidia gsync IPS screen.. tbh from benchmarks think 1060 is better bet
argh this stupid dual format vsync mess.
£275 is a bit too much.
I use a rx480 on 2560x1080 and it runs everything fine. I use an AOC 3583FQ. Great monitor if you don't want to pay the crazy prices for superwide 1440. Being VA the picture quality is notch as well, no bleed and blacks are solid
Thanks for the recommendation. I have seen a 25" super wide lg which gets some great reviews for £150 which I am tempted to get to replace my 10 year old 22" lg.
Didn't want to have just upgraded my gfx for it to then fall behind again!!
