Ohhh I dunno if they will go for it, the rest of the bundle is juicy, hmm perhaps just leave it as the included stock HSF and let people supply their own cooling?

Unless u have a bucket load of Zalman coolers to unload! :o :D

Hi there

Nope with coolers you never need to unload them, they always sell. Its just on things like coolers, arctic silver and memory we can discount massively and as such it represents a large saving on the bundle.

I think what I will do is offer two bundles. One with the Zalman and the other with the Tuniq Tower. Both bundles will also come with a tube of arctic silver.

ps.. i find it funny how the OCuk people who work with this everyday come to the forum for advice :)

Hi there

I no longer play with the hardware due to lack of time, plus I no longer purchase heatsinks any longer, I leave that to my young apprentice Slackworth. :)

What would really go well in a bundle would be Abit IP35 Pro, Q6600 G0, Tuniq Tower, AS5, and a case that it would all fit in. Maybe do 4 bundles, each with a different case (perhaps Akasa Zen, Akasa Eclipse, a Lian Li and one of the gaming cases).

2 of the biggest problems are - will this cooler fit this mobo, and after that, will all this fit in this case?

edit: easy, I was just about to suggest that, got a good write up in CPC. Is that what you're going to be cooling your quad with?

Getting a little to close to a full rig me thinks (okay well maybe not quite)

*edit*

Gibbo sir,

whatever happened to being able to select the case with the OcUK prebuilt systems? maybe you could do that sort of thing but instead with the bundle. So give people the choice of whatever coolers without having to list it separately?

and also, not that i doubt you at all but probably want to make sure whoever puts it up on the site that they put in the description the tuniq tower will need to be checked for compatibility with the case . Just an observation, you know how to do your job im sure :p

Fair point, but there should be an easy way of checking if a TT or a 120 fits in a case, and if it fits on a motherboard with all this copper they stick on them these days :D

I have the swiftech APEX ultra :D

No offence meant easy! ;) :D

Gibbo, also how about re doing the Pre-Built systems, do you actually sell any of them anymore?

Some of them are full of old tech to be honest.

H20-120-COMPACT.gif

This will sell like hotcakes with the quads :D
I just read a review of that in CPC, its the first bit of non-air cooling I ever considered! :D

Swiftech H2O 120 Compact
Although the H2O 120 Compact is overkill for a dual-core processor, providing cooling thats barely any better than a far cheaper HSF, its a great solution for keeping an overclocked quad-core CPU cool and quiet. The waterblock and pump are intergrated togther, as are the radiator and reservoir, so the H20 120 Compact has far less tubing then a conventional water cooling kit, making it far easier to install

Considering the cost of the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme Heatsink (Socket AM2/LGA775) for example

£44.64 inc VAT

The Swiftech @ around 90 is good value and will be easy to fit for all the water noobs out there :p
