To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your Radeon RX 5700 XT.

@shankly1985 ok here out of the box, 8600K @ 4.7Ghz and out of the box 5700XT AE in a warm room (30C) with 19.7.2. Division 2 run on Ultra settings at 2560x1440. The card didn't went over 95% utilization
qrXKJBU.png

The clock was most of the time stable at 1880Mhz, the card didn't move over 76C and the noise was 30db on my desk at ear level. I have a P3 open case on the floor and sitting on the desk less than 0.5m away.
It was the soft "whoosh" of the air moving through the cooler that made the noise not the fan, even at 2200RPM, and haven't seen so much air blasting through on the back even on the Vega 64 reference.

Talking about noise of the card, my ambient noise, without something on speakers, is 28db, as the cicadidae are "singing" outside (over 34C today).

Update. Setting the card to go from the automatic 20% fan speed to manual 40% fan speed yeah, can hear the fan as it hits 40db, but this is ONLY if set the fan speed manually.

Thanks was this on directx 12 also? And frame latency setting enabled?

I get 64fps with my Vega 64 I was expecting more on this game with navi going from what other games are showing.

My special £390! 50th anniversary just arrived :)

DX12 I was running.
I was playing it with my Vega 64 also until few days ago, but I found got better visuals and performance by tweaking the AMD custom profile and running the game from there.
Was overriding the ingame TAA with 2x MSAA, AF16. And somehow the game was better looking without that crap blur/fog of TAA, and better performance due to the default AMD settings for Tesselation etc.
Try it.

waterblocks start shipping tomorrow for the lucky few, i will have mine fitted next thursday.

my 2070S FE should arrive saturday for the start of the head to head tests.

Or Monday for Friday delivery for the special edition.....as it was only £3 more(with the backplate) and 1 day later I ended up going for that one

Anyone who says next time 5700XT is loud and hot, I will come down on him/her like a ton of bricks. Ignorant imbeciles is the best suited phrase that comes to mind.
@Martini1991 from my experience with 2 Noctua Industrial 3000s on the Morpheus II (Vega 64) and comparing it to the 5700XT blower, I will take the AMD cooler every day.

Just had to try a quick undervolting, and continue fiddling tomorrow. With the curve 2049 @ 1083 + 20% PL and 910 Vram, I beat my 1750Mhz + 1180HBM watercooled Vega 64 on Firestrike normal.
The 5700XT was operating at around 1950Mhz except on the combined score test was at 1750 Mhz somehow. Everything else stock including the fan curve, the card didn't exceed 61C and was quiet.

Now I have some bearing over the stock 2100 @ 1180mv, tweaking would commence :D

Delivery what you have the kangaroos for? Use them :p
However mine had a bit of a trek. Ordered on the 7th, arrived to my ex wife house (Scotland) on the 16th, she sent it on 17th and just arrived in Greece. :D
(AMD doesn't ship to Greece).

---------------------------
@shankly1985 haven't forgotten you, the GPU just arrived and Division 2 downloads a patch

Kangaroo's would do a better job all round :)

It is hot and loud. Main reason I got rid.
Heaven knows how bad it would be in this heat. Yes you can improve with undervolting but it's certainly not as good as a decent AIB card.

My findings after my first night with the card is that it is VERY HOT and low to mid 90's. seemed to settle at 95degree while playing witcher 3. I would not call it loud though, compared with my old 7970 that card was a lot lot lot louder and that was a gigbyte windforce version. But the temperatures are very worrying.

At your temps you're throttling.

At your temps you're throttling.

Any idea what sort of temps it would need to be under to not throttle? Temps were taken from the radeon overlay thing using crtl+shift+o. gpu fan was running at around 2300. not sure if that's high? but tbh i could hardly hear the card lol

putting my hand to the exhaust at the back of the pc it was very very hot air coming out, so its clearly shifting some heat but obviously not cooling
