Application profiles? I think so yes.Could someone advise if I change my 6900XT out to test another AMD card, will the radeon sotware retain my custom profiles when I switch back?
Application profiles? I think so yes.
I think there might be an option to export settings or something like that in the system menu of Radeon Software just in case. I think this might save the profiles, but I cannot guarantee it.My brother found his old 7970, I just want to make sure it's functional before selling it but don't want to loose my game profiles, if I have to set them back up it's not the end of the world but would prefer to avoid doing that lol.
What kind power draw default Power Save preset gives?Hey.
I created some 6900 XT GPU Tuning profiles that you might like to try. You can just load them into GPU Tuning and away you go.
2300Mhz/2012Mhz 1.025v Power Saving 255W
2400Mhz/2112Mhz 1.050v Balanced 275W
2500Mhz/2112Mhz 1.100v Performance 300W

It's an anti sag stand, you basically just hold the card up with it, but if you can use it to hold the card vertical then go for itSo I treated myself to a case upgrade, the Phanteks Enthoo 719 arrived this afternoon. I intend to mount my red devil vertically and understood I needed to order a riser cable separately, which I've done but it's seems I also needed to order the vertical mounting bracket, which I haven't. However I still haven't solved the mystery of what the "GPU stand" provided with the Red Devil is for. Can any fellow Red Devil owners enlighten me? I think I can maybe use it as support to mount the card vertically in the case but is that what it's actually for or is to combat GPU sag when horizontal?
Here are pictures of the two pieces of kit and instructions for those who don't have the card. All thoughts and opinions welcome...

Sweet. That's what I thought initially but I thought I read somewhere if was for mounting vertically which created some doubt. I'll see if I can make it do the job then. Cheers. It's an anti sag stand, you basically just hold the card up with it, but if you can use it to hold the card vertical then go for it
The rough power draw is listed at the end of each profile. What kind power draw default Power Save preset gives?
(in Vega 64 that worked really nicely for keeping heat down/improving power efficiency)
Or is it just better to use some voltage offset with some "safe" value like you mentioned in 6800 XT thread.
With power draw of modern cards will certainly have to consider can their whole card power draw be tuned down toward 200W level without major performance penalty especially for when weather gets warmer.
These around -20C outside temps just don't hold to summer...![]()
You probably need more voltage mate. Try bumping the voltage slider up by 10. Eg, if it's set to 1050, set it to 1060.@LtMatt I've just tested your custom profile for 'performance' and the AMD software crashed. Do you recommend any particular adjustments to get it stable? I'm assuming it'll be either power or voltage related.
If this was nVidia i could probably work it out but it's been a number of years since I had an AMD card and I don't know how touchy they are to changes.

Make sure the power limit is at +15% also as I can't remember what I had it set to in the profiles, it may have been 0.
You probably need more. Try +25. Safe voltage is up to 1175v.Power limit was set to 0, what's the safe voltage on the 6900XTs?
Edit: Up to 1055mv but it's still not stable with +15 power. Have left it for now.
Best result I've had in TimeSpy is:
Balanced - 17602/12816 - 16668
Rage Preset - 17826/12768 - 16826
With AMDs reporting multiple different values is that whole card's power draw or only GPU?The rough power draw is listed at the end of each profile.![]()
PPT power metric as reported by HWINFO64. I believe it reports everything, as core power metric is lower, but you would need to verify with developer of HWINFO64.With AMDs reporting multiple different values is that whole card's power draw or only GPU?
In later case it would be still ~300W for whole card.
"Slightly" hard to find anything concretic about what it actually measures on graphics cards.PPT power metric as reported by HWINFO64. I believe it reports everything, as core power metric is lower, but you would need to verify with developer of HWINFO64.
Best to ask the developer. HWiNFO Forum"Slightly" hard to find anything concretic about what it actually measures on graphics cards.
If it's anything like for CPUs, it's package power with also others parts of GPU chip besides actual GPU core.
(instead of whole board power)
Do you remember what it showed with card at defaults?
With good number of reviews measuring card only power draw (instead of whole PC) that could be used to correlate, if it includes also memory and VRM.
