You scared him off, he never came back. :D

Just saw xtx Merc 319 6900xt in stock for 2.4k . Was tempted lol.

That's X3 over RRP. Where do these companies get off from?

I seen that too. Absolutely staggering price for a high end card. Sad times ahead for consumers trying to buy into any AMD or Nvidia platform.

What's the recommended PSU for these cards?
As I have noticed my system crashing randomly, when been forced to run at full load sustained for long periods of time..

Occasional spikes can trip even more powerful PSUs. (1000W)

From AMD site:

Minimum PSU Recommendation
850 W

Thanks for the confirmation.
I was suspecting the power requirements where 850+Watts. As I have a Corsair HX850i Platinum.
But as stated they have the potential to trip even a 1000Watt power supply..

So I might have to consider upgrading, if the crashes continue. On the plus side, with all that power draw and heat, the room is lovely and warm. :D

So I mentioned that my last case's window panel had a pillar that was blocking the business end of my Red Devil. I therefore decided it was time for an upgrade and went for the big fella Phanteks Enthoo 719 (Luxe 2). I was also going to vertically mount it but the riser cable I bought was too short. I've since ordered a longer cable but I like how it looks so much I haven't been able to bring myself to fit it yet. Here are a couple of pics for those interested:

I'll post some pics when I give in, and try the vertical mount.

DPD do sometimes deliver on a weekend so you might yet be in luck. Had them arrive on Sunday before.

Credit where its due, actually arrived on Sat.

Had a nightmare swapping the 5700XT for the 6900XT , motherboard kept on not detecting the new card...so tried swapping it back...and still wouldn't detect any graphics at all.

Eventually got the 5700 working, did another swap to 6900XT and it worked straight away.

Ive only got a 750w psu so Im not pushing it at all at the moment , have to save up for beefier psu at some point.

Tried as few Flight Sim runs ( Doom Eternal & Forza 7)nd its smooth as silk on my Dell 34" at native res

Am getting very occasional "flashes", as if the video signal disappears completely for a fraction of a second and automatically returns - only on Windows desktop though, never so far in a game.

I stripped out the 5700 drivers (well the whole Radeon software completely just to be safe) , during the swap and confirmed it was just using the default Windows drivers when I booted up with the 6900 and then re-installed with the Feb 2021 drivers but still get these occasional desktop flashes, had a couple yesterday but none so far today hopefully its sorted itself

That sucks man. Bad for the heart these things! Hope it all settles and you can relax and enjoy your newly acquired power!

So today I managed to sell my Sapphire Toxic 6950XT for £100. Yes the Cayman Island generation. It'll be missed, but I still have another working away in my Sandybridge system, from when I ran Crossfire. :D

But back to topic at hand.
What settings are people running, for overclocking these cards? As I don't think I got a good one..
