Now I am curious, why do you want to know? It was my cousin who bought two of these at launch in the States. He moved back home in October last year and sold me one of them. He tried to do the RMA after I had trouble contacting the store. He contacted friends over there to call over to the store. Where we found it that it was in the process of closing down.

Not only that, but, there are loads of people bringing them to court for not refunding money from pre-orders etc. The owner of business said it was because of Covid, that he over pre-ordered and couldn't get the parts etc. etc. The people who bought stuff and can't get their parts or their money are calling him a scammer. My cousin had no problems with his pre-orders. But, lots of very angry people out there!!

The place was called OG10K.

No particular reason other than just being nosey and wondering if I recognised the name. I don't though.
 
Did anyone try one of the Alphacool blocks on their 6900 XT Toxic LE/Extremes yet?

My delta has slowly been creeping up over the past few months with the ThermalRight SilverKing LM, I've ordered some Conductonaut to try out this time instead. Looking at alternative cooling solutions for the future...

I cleaned off all the SilverKing and put on some Kryonaut paste in the mean time and the difference in temps is terrible, LM is too good to not use.

Are you taking any precautions when using LM or just lightly applying ?

I used MG Chemicals conformal coating on the components that surround the die and used a heat gun at 60C for around 30 mins to cure it, I then cut out some bits of Kapton tape and built an extra layer of protection over it.

I didn't want to go the nail varnish route because of all the variations in ingredients and guidance regarding not using certain types.
The combination of my lack of confidence and the uncertainty in varnish/polish selection just made me opt for what is, in my opinion, a more professional solution.
