The Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Owners Thread.

i got the 7900 XTX MBA because it was the best perf/price for 4K cards. bought on AMD website for 1135€ while 4080 was sold for 1400€. if the 7900 XT pricing was not as bad i would have took it over the 7900 XTX.
I don't think than custom AMD cards are worth the extra money and power consumption.
you have to keep in mind that most of the benchmarks are very bad to stress the cards in real game situations, i can run benchmarks like Firestrike and TimeSpy at 1070mV repeatedly without crashing while most games are only stable at 1080mV, some very demanding games are only stable at 1100mV and Horizon Zero Dawn is only stable at 1110mV on my card for instance. My VRAM is stable at 2730Mhz fast timing on every game. no stability difference on VRAM. Also increasing the PL by +15% on my card only increase FPS by 6% on average even when undervolted.
This is why I’m selling mine. I did sone research and realised I couldn’t play HZD without messing with the voltage and frequency curve.

This isn’t for me. I’m capable of doing this but don’t believe I should have to.

Anyone here got he Liquid devil 7900 XTX? Just ordered one and looking for tweaks and stuff if anyone got it.
Same as all of them, undervolt it as much as you can in real world scenarios, Mem to around 2700 (or more, not all are the same) and PL to +15 - and once you have done all that, reset the driver, set voltage to 1.100 and leave it there  (or watch your smart meter click the pounds down exponentially)

I used to have a soundblaster.
Most motherboards now have excellent sound capabilities, it's worth the loss.
Depending very much on what soundblaster card it is.. if it weren't for my Cloud orbit S's aka Audeze Mobius(USB) I would have to find room for my Xonar Essence STX soundcard as motherboard sound(haven't heard the newer Realtek ALC4082 chip yet, so that is not included) is just dreadful for any half decent hifi headphone IMHO. That said, a ded. amp/dac would be what I would prefer if I had the money to spent. On the flip side, if you don't know or notice, you get to live in the lands of bliss. Enjoy that cause it's much much cheaper! :D

where did you find stock for that? I was waiting on that and the 7950x3d for my new build I asked OcUK and they had no ETA. No other retailers I know of have them either.

Don't you ever interrupt again.

Yeah, I've seen a few now pop up at the 749.99 range - and OC have the Sapphire Radeon at 799. Hopefully they drop to a slightly fairer price (649-699?)

Might be tempted at £650. I really only buy cards in the Autumn, so it could be hitting around there by then.

I have the Audeze Mobius, this headset is so good.

I was tempted until I saw the weight. I had the Penrose which was the most uncomfortable POS I ever tried. Good sound though :D

Really! Interesting. Just picked up my MOBIUS (which is ruined). Weight wise. I guess it is heavier but not overly but I am a big chap. Has it's own DAC and everything you need, built in.

Magnetic Planars really are something else. I'd get another set or the penrose. Sell for not a lot 2nd hand too

You send them back or sell em?

I beg your pardon. The Mobius is 350g, I meant their new one Maxwell which is 490g!

Yeah I sold the Penrose (320g)second hand, I wasn't using them much.

I have always had Soundblaster cards since getting into building PC's, started out with the Xonar D2 PCi. It came with a front panel and MIDI ports, sold it for a pretty penny on the bay.
I think after that came the PCie version of the same card.
Then the Soundblaster Z.
I reluctantly sold on the Z once I bought the Vertical riser for my case, and to be honest, haven't looked back. Always ran a Logitech Z506 5.1 setup.
Although most of my gaming is done on headphones now. (Corsair Virtuoso SE 7.1 RGB).
