The Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Owners Thread.

It's fair. I'm looking at the sapphire xtx in the black Friday sale.
Did they fix the multi monitor power issue? (I've tried to Google, but can't filter out the early complaints)
No, reduced since launch but it still uses way more power on multi monitor setups compared to single.

I think I should cash in on the 7900xtx before any announcements are made but what's the cheapest gpu I can get away with in the interim? as I wait for next amd/5090
False economy, you lose money twice, with the hassles of doa/returns/time wasted selling etc to maybe save a few quid.

If you had a spare gpu fair enough but, on the presumption you're XTX is solid, punt a gpu, buy a cheaper gpu, to punt that gpu, while crossing your fingers that this time the 90 launch isn't stock restrained by Nv-despite knowing they'll hold back stock to control the market and drip feed it to the channels to keep the price above msrp like they always do.

Just checked mine, on AMDs current driver-single monitor 22w on 1440p/144Hz, 63w on dual display 1440p/144Hz+4K/120Hz, I never run dual, I just use Windows hotkey to flip it from monitor to TV for couch gaming, screens are in separate rooms.

Where do we think the new AMD cards will land? Definitely reveal in Jan if they can do 7900XTx performance for £500 brand new with lower power usage 16gb VRAM and it performs like a 4080 with RT enabled that would be a very capable 1440p 144 GPU..
