The Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Owners Thread.

Do you have a different cable to test. As @delta0 has found there seems to be a problem with bundled display port cables. Might be worth trying either a different display port cable or a HDMI.
Tried an HDMI cable. Same results.

And I would be extraordinarily surprised if just switching a cable fixed an overheating issue.

had confirmation that the Red Devil is limited to 434W, same as the TUF OC. I would recommend the Nitro or Merc instead.

For power limit, should I take max board power draw figures from gpuz and hwinfo as the max limit?

Ran few tests the aorus will draw around 405w max for both oc and quiet bios, the quiet bios has lower clock and fan speed. If increase the power limit +15 draw around 465w max.

Been mucking about today only doing undervaulting with port royal and got to 33 in the world with my config. 5800x3d and nitro plus.
Got down to 1025 mili volts, this card is a tinkerers dream. Would have done more tinkering but the wife was giving me evils. :D

I'm bit split between hellhound and Nitro+ myself, other then horrible coil whine my reference is pretty cool and quiet so a hellhound probably be fine for me but the Nitro+ looks sooo good lol

PPT Short metric in hwinfo is the max you can draw depending on what the power limit is set to.

I don't understand all the hate reviews of the XT, we all know how overpriced GFX cards are so what's the big issue with the RX7900XT hate!
The 7900XT was AMDs big chance to be different to Nvidia and tuck away the open goal that was left to them, instead they were well wide of the mark.

Sounds like AMD ****** up

Looks like a very big deal indeed...
So I logged back into BDO today, just wanted to see, how well the game runs with the new card I haven't played in a while. I also realised it was the first game that I was playing which actually pushed my GPU to a constant 100% usage.

Thankfully, my delta seems to be within limits at around 20oC ~ 25oC. But for those who are having junction temperature issues, if it is indeed the vapour chamber that is tgh root of the problem, this is a massive problem. I'm wondering how AMD are planning to resolve this issue, if they even are... While I would love to grab Power Devil or Nitro plus card, once I spend that kind of money, I'm now creeping towards 4090 territory, which I want to avoid entirely.

I legitimately hope that AMD, addressed his issue, and make it right, because. When it's running the way it should be, it's a very good card in my opinion, although I do agree it should be priced really at 899 or even 799 MSRP.

How does one check and log the junction temp issue to see if the card has an issue or not?

Sorry if it's obvious.. I'm a noob. :)

download HWINFO and when it fires up chose sensors option

Charging more and quality control out the window, well done AMD

At least with over charging the hit on expense to sorting it won't hurt as much lol
