The Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Owners Thread.

At £799 the 7900XT, if you need a new GPU, now, and want the latest gen, is now worth a look, and beats out the 470Ti in performance.

If the AIB cards, with custom coolers, follow then AMD could actually shift the 7900XT of the shelves.

Mine was excellent. I should have kept it really. The card is nice and compact and really impressive IMO, the cooler was great, just right for the XT. I did a side grade to a AIB card (Sapphire Nitro) which I’ve had to RMA after 10 hours because one of the fans started making an awful noise. Ugh.

My biting point was more £750
but my need for a shiny new toy got the better off me so I have gone for this, at least I can sell my
rx 6800 to pay for some of it.
 
Put a custom loop on the cpu to help cool it off a bit (Fat chance still hitting 80'C these 5800x3D are pretty hot), Added streamers and cleaned up the wiring.

Was debating putting the 7900 in vertical position but that will cause issues down the line if I want to add another rad.

Lovely setup there. I'm a bit surprised your CPU is hot under water. During gaming sessions mine 5800x3d runs low 60's. Have you tried PBO negative offset. Mine runs all day low with -30 on all cores with very little if any performance loss.

Under gaming barely goes over 60'C. Put it under C23 and it hits 80'C under the waterblock. Beats the AK620 though... that one on stock fans was instant 90'C.

@LtMatt Debating putting the GPU under a waterblock since the stock cooler is so fantastic and silent. Barely goes over the current case fans going at %35.

Firm believer to RGB only the main components and leave everything else in black.

Sound card red lights need to be cut :)

I'm starting to eye the 7900XT a fair bit. The price has just lowered a fair bit here in Denmark to just slightly above a RX 6950 which is already the lowest it has ever been. Might jump on the wagon in 2-3 months time depending how pricing develops.

Even though have an order with Alphacool for Merc XTX block the wait of 12-15 days seems too long.

Been blazing air cooling since mid Dec 22 and now just want rig back with panels, etc on.

Also just wanna see if gain with WC on OC/UV.

I left watercooling but if it improve UV stability i may order a Bykski waterblock too for my MBA.
