"The message from within Charles Green's camp re Walter Smith-fronted bid is: talk to us if you want to buy club, not admin or liquidators.

"Their investors are looking for a return on the money already spent on legal fees, etc. That shouldn't stop men of McColl and Park's money."

Err Mr Green you will have no supporters if you turn this down.

Cant see Green selling Rangers for half a million higher than he bought it for.
Uncle Walt certainly has thrown a cat among the pigeons though.

Thats not what anyone wants.
The decision on allowing Newco Rangers into the SPL needs to be taken first. Otherwise the decision is comprised if Sky announce they will renegotiate if Rangers arent allowed in.

Get the SPL together, make a decision, then deal with any fallout.

Yeah I would agree Jamesy, but the Daily Ranger are mischief making by saying that Sky will put out without Rangers with absolutely no speculation, the media is in full scale survival mode for their own jobs, Traynor, Chick Young etc are all pretty much out of a job if Rangers go down the tubes.

Fortunately it looks like my own clubs fan takeover is going to happen and they will allow the CIC fans to vote on whether Rangers stay in or not, if anyone wants to become an owner of the saints CIC, we need another 1050 fans to sign up at http://10000hours.org/

So we can expect fan ownership sometime around 2040? :D

Youre the third worst supported team in the league, and thats up against some pretty stiff opposition.

Where`s all your cup final glory hunters? :D

Sorry, was a typo, we only need another 100 to sign up.

Glory hunters probably hiding with the 500,000 Rangers glory hunters who ruined Manchester.

The funny thing is, it looks like our fans have banded together to buy the club, which is something Rangers fans couldnt organise with their fanbase, which in itself is pretty shameful.

Yeah but theres a difference between banding together £300 for a pub team and banding together to clear debts of £135m.

How`s 4000 odd fans going to generate enough cash to keep you in the league? :)

I've just been reminded that my wife's step sister's wedding venue is Ibrox in around a month's time - she's only paid her deposit so far (£500 out of £7000 total) do you think she should go ahead?

So... does anyone know if the Green deal is final, or if the liquidators can untie it, or if they have to give it a stamp of approval? I was talking to my Dad last night and he seemed to be sure that someone else was coming forward. I don't know if he'd been told something (possible but unlikely), I think it's more that he understands the liquidation process better, and I think he was under the impression that someone else can outbid Green's bid, and the liquidators have a duty to ensure the best price comes in.

I certainly wouldn't part with any more money just yet
