Alexander is contracted till next summer and there is not a hope in hell he wont move to Sevco 5088.

You're missing Kerkar, he's out of contract too along with Papac.

You're also missing Bocanegra, but rumour is he is going to Canada and Edu off to Turkey.

And Kenny Shiels has just tweeted.
Reports coming to me through the grapevine that Rangers players will not be paid their wages on Thursday. Strange times with Charles Green

How he would hear i dunno.

Papac said in Feb he was leaving at the end of his contract.

Your right, most clubs dont really care about sporting integrity, we see that every week in players diving, getting others booked and all that nonsense.

There is a difference between the fans and the owners though, fans dont really care about money, sponsorship and what not, they just want to enjoy their football, for most, it would be preferable without Rangers and Celtic around, with one out the picture it increases enjoyment, theres more competitive matches, make no mistake, if there was a sniff of Celtic being in the same position the knives would be out.

If this is fudged and Rangers goto Division 1, then they might as well have kept them in the SPL, I just cant see it happening though, there is no time to change things before the season starts, if Rangers are to start in Div 1, the earliest it would be would be next summer, which I guess would give a chance for a years suspension, while it wouldnt be ideal, it still would be an improvement over a single year out the top division.

For Rangers fans, im sure they would prefer the third, of course they dont realise just how honking that league is, the quality is brutal, but it would give them another 3 cups to start them off then back in the SPL they would be able to play in europe again on the 4th or 5th year.

We'd also have another 3 championship trophies in our belt taking the total upto 57 :D

Rangers fans havent been robbed of 3 years season ticket money, ticketus were robbed of that money, not Rangers.

they were robbed of season ticket money yet the club still owed 40 million at the end of the season. Where did the money go? Whyte said there was a 10 million black hole that doesn't explain the 40 million so glad there is a criminal investigation going on as someone needs locked up for this.

Yeah I understand that, but its not like you had paid up front 3 years for the tickets, the only people that were robbed was ticketus, they are the ones that lost out of the deal, not the fans.

Can someone link me to a short version of what has happened?

Last I read was Glasgow Rangers went into administration, but now i see that no longer exists, the ground does, the players that remains does but it is now call Newco Rangers and other clubs has refused its registration into SPL?

Am I right?

So is that means Newco Rangers will be playing in the same stadium but about 10 division down and fight all the way back up the league?

Basically poo hit the fan. Rangers has tried to abandon anywhere between 10 and 100m quid of debt by forming a new company. New company won't be let into spl.

New company now has to apply back into any league to exist as a football club, division 1 has some legs as a possibility but several clubs are talking about rejecting that so could be the bottom of pro football in scotland division 3.

Looks like most players won't change to the new club because; a. they want to leave for better money, b. don't want to play in a naff league, c. don't want to live off nothing as the new co won't be able to pay the contracts anyway.

All fun and games to see how football can actually stick to its rules properly.

The Scotsman said:
IRONY will be at the forefront of the minds of certain members of the Scottish Football League with long memories when they vote on the future of ‘The Rangers’. Five clubs which will be involved in determining which division the Ibrox club will play in next season – Albion Rovers, Berwick Rangers, Brechin City, Stenhousemuir and Stranraer – may think back 48 years when the boot was on the other foot.

In 1964, this gang of five survived an attempt to oust them from senior football in a move led by Rangers. The Glasgow giants wanted to reduce the number of clubs in the then top two divisions from 37 to 32 and proposed that the minnows should drop out.

Rangers proposed that the five clubs with the smallest gate receipts should be kicked out and were at the vanguard of moves to make it happen, including sending out correspondence to the other member clubs and deliberately excluding the targeted clubs.

Issues of moral/sporting integrity aside, with a history of attempting to manipulate the league for their own gains it's little surprise that there's no great support for fast tracking newco into to the SPL.

So they tried to get out of this money mess by forming a new identity?

Surely as a new club, it HAS to play through the ranks and earns its merits?

More or less to get round the administration problems (and tax case) they reformed the club and shouted a lot that they (and the old firm "rivalry") was the glue for the SPL. Reality has shown that everyone sees this as an amazing opportunity to abandon that and create a sensible league, fair voting rights and sensible distribution of money being the big things to change. The new co is "walking away" from the debt but not the name (and trying to cling on to the history) but the way the mess has gone it just keeps getting worse because the club won't deal with the debt that it accumulated in the last 10 (or so) years.

The club really should play through the leagues and rebuild but the scottish league (well the teams in division 1) could well be swayed by some bigger money for rangers turning up for a season against them (should be some tv money and reasonable gates). That said division 3 is the only place they should be allowed to enter (by the rules) so division 3 should be what happens.

Amusing reality is that the new co could end up in administration again less than a month into its existence because no money is going into it, so chances are there could be a situation where rangers don't end up playing at all. The club needs someone to come in and cough up a few million to pay the players and get started again (as no one is buying season tickets for the new co yet), but seeing as the is a question over which league they will play in anyway no one is going to do it.

It seems even debt free, the Rangers fans are revolting. They were told not to buy season tickets (rightly so while its going to the oldco), the players are walking away (rightly, they should have been sold or released anyway during the administration), Green's backers seem to be on the fritz and its looking more and more likely that he is either going to have to cut and run with a small profit/any kind of loss and see the club survive, or liquidate and sell the assets to his property development fund which can be leased/sold on as necessary.

Its gone nuclear this week and it wont finish with yesterdays bombshells, today is going to see more players walk with the deadline, tomorrow wages are supposed to be paid and there is rumours that it isnt going to happen, Friday the request to play in the SFL has to be in by Friday and if that doesnt happen, Rangers are finished for any football whatsoever this year.
