nah mate i dont get touchy about things like football ;)

still not answered my question about the missing support from your title party?

:p

Do I need to vouch for the entire 12k? Didnt know I was their official keeper. Hold on, i'll get their names and give them a call to see...might take me a while though :)

Better get back on topic, or thread will be closed :)

I think Rotty meant to get back on topic, not to get the last word in and then insist everybody else get back on topic.

Talk of Newcastle/Sports Direct guy putting money in. What puzzles me is what the money would be spent on. Virtually no wage or transfer expenses, Ibrox doesn't warrant an expansion... there's no debt to pay off. What investment could be done?

General running costs for the next few seasons until the league reconstruction or Rangers getting to the SPL? Rumours at the moment that it might be involving renaming Ibrox so will be interesting to see the fan reaction.

Looks like Green trying to get the fans on-side with his comments so expect another light punishment from the SFA.

The way Rangers played today... it could be a long time. So embarrassing the best they can do is draw with a part time team. Part time!

Two years before Rangers can resign from their SFL place to join another league so looking likely SPL2 will rear its ugly head again. Good luck getting fans to support it though.

Well, on the one hand it's ludicrous to only draw with the resources we have behind us. On the other I think a bit of a shaky start could be expected, and the lower leagues are not won in the same way that we won the SPL where us and Celtic had to win virtually every game. Alloa last year had 13 games they didn't win, and still won the league by 14 points.

So worried after todays result that we won't win he league? No. But it's concerning that we can't beat a team who should find it difficult to compete with us at all.

Stadium renaming I don't especially like, however even if they do rename it it'll still be Ibrox. My local shop is called Hutton's and it's been called Hutton's for years even though Hutton hasn't owned it for over 10. "The Rangers" will be "Rangers" and Ibrox will always be Ibrox.

I'd like to see the SPL1/SPL2 idea come in - I think a shake up is needed, but let's see Rangers enter SPL2 after winning SFL2 - in other words let it replace the 1st division and let Rangers get in when we would normally have won promotion - which at best is 2 years time. Or let us into the SPL1 after we've won the SF1.

Anyway, there's a league to be won and I find the more the interest is away from the football the worse things get. My love of football took a dive after Manchester, and continued downwards with Neil Lennon getting bomb parcels and then Craig Whyte and administration... let's hope the lowest point has passed and we'll see Rangers head back up the leagues, some good football and perhaps a more positive Scottish league system.

Still on holidays but once usual service resumes
I plan to watch as many games as I can on Rangers TV. Will also order the new strip.

Just hope the bring back the tangerine 3rd strip this season would look great with the new gers logo.

BTW can a mod now close this thread as the club that is rangers is now under new ownership and is no longer in administration and we have other threads now for the football. thanks,

jas

Rangers are still in administration pending liquidation. Also there are numerous issues still outstanding regarding the whole situation that will no doubt be newsworthy so I don't think the thread should be closed just yet.

But I agree that the football results of the new club should go in the 3rd division thread as I've no interest in that and it is annoying to see an update to this thread and it is pictures of the attendance or something.

I agree that the football of newco should go in the 3rd div thread but this is still a hot topic with unresolved issues.

This thread needs to remain open I think

Rangers (the football club) are no longer in administration. The business which previously run the club is still in administration pending its liquidation.

There is no new club - the businesses assetts, including the football club (i.e transferral of membership) was sold to a new company. The paying of football debts by the newco confirms that it is the same club, formed in 1872, having won 54 Scottish league championships.

The company currently in administration is now called RFC 2012 PLC, so it is factually correct to say that Rangers are no linger in administration and the request to have the thread closed is valid.

As mentioned previously, still unresolved issues that suggest this thread should remain open, so not to fill the football threads with updates.

Where else can we discuss EBTs, dual contracts, title stripping without clogging up another thread? ;)

I suggest you then start another thread, as neither topic is relevant to RFC 2012 being in administration and soon to be liquidation.

The saga continues -

'The Scottish Premier League has ordered Rangers to remove all archive footage of their top-flight matches from their website because the club does not own the copyright to he highlights.'

'Dundee United have confirmed that debts owed to the club from Rangers oldco have not yet been paid, contrary to claims from newco owner Charles Green.'

To be this bad takes SAGA

Well stv have seen a letter from spl to Rangers saying they would pay Dundee groom money due to Rangers so the saga of the corrupt lying spl continues.
