Still 140 years to me no matter what name is on the balance sheet.

I won't rise to your petty goading as I have more important things to do.

Nice find about the Brazilian street match there....

Still no bad for a nation of 5 million and a city of 750K had the stadium held 60K... 60K would have been there ;)

Another World Record, how many has that been since the new club started in Div 3? :D

TBF there are 500m Rangers fans according to Charlie Verde :o

To put that into context 1 in in every 14 people in the World has a soft spot for the Bears :p

Just breaking on STV tonight, PFA Scotland have launched legal action against Rangers on behalf of 67 players over the handling of the contract transfers and three players are suing over constructive dismissal.

Seems like the newco are liable?

They have some nerve after leaving for nothing. This will really endear them to the support.

Add to this. Players are now coming out saying they didn't know they were on the list? PFA at it ie Fraser Wishart?

Don't have the cash to do it myself. May through the RST.

Strange no reply to the SFA statement I posted.

I could say likewise to my Charlie Green/Walter Smith/Jim Traynor point, however I'll indulge you ;)

It's the SFA's ball so they can pretty much do what they want and there was no way they wouldn't let a new version of Rangers in Scottish Football hence the pantomime of trying to keep them in the SPL, then dropping them to the 1st Div until eventually the fans of Scottish fitba spoke and the new club started in Div 3

As a hypothetical if your arguing that the membership is unbroken and there is no "new" club then why can't the SFA propose Rangers into the Europa League for the next 3 seasons if they won the Scottish Cup? ;)

Look I have no problem with Rangers fans saying that they still support the same club and traditions, however when they start spouting rubbish like Title No. 55 and a World Record every other week and twice on Sundays, it's fun to put their gas at a peep :p

Why would the non-Rangers supporting players i.e. the majority give a monkey's about endearing themselves to the support?

Your typical footballer is more interested in money than fan worship, it tends to pay the mortgage and keep your WAG in Dolce & Gabbana ;)

Looks like the players are arguing CG made a mess of TUPE and three of them (Lafferty, Ness & Aluko) are claiming constructive dismissal :o

Since Sone paid his own wage to play, I assume he's exempt from your ire? :D

It was the SPL not the SFA re your first point.

2nd. Uefa rules state the operating company required 3 years accounts to allow the Club into the competition.

Loads say because the company number was lost then we are a different club. Why then as Celtic "the Club" have a new company number (from the Bunnet) are they not afforded the same status?

1) Not had my morning Java yet :)

2) So UEFA don't recognise the "new" club

3) Celtic's company registration number is still the same as it was since it's inception (SC003487), I think your getting confused with the temporary Pacific Shelf name change (to safeguard the Company Name) when we became a PLC under The Bunnet

Most are arguing that Rangers are a new club due to the old one being liquidated and losing most of their playing staff. There's also the "legal" issue of "buying history"

What makes it complicated and a point Rangers fans can argue is that by agreeing to settle the Oldco's "football" debts to other clubs and agreeing to any and all SFA sanctions (although the Registration Ban was contested) they have made amends for the misdeeds of their past custodians

However the bombast from Charlie Green including picking and choosing what parts of agreements he wants to stick to, playing the WATP card, numerous contradictions, ludicrous claims and the boycott nonsense isn't winning your club many fans at the moment

Rubbish it's winning the club 48 000 fans at every home game.

Also you took these quotes out of context...

Allow me to use square brackets to give context to the quote from Smith

Walter Smith June 2012 (speaking about Charles Green)

"We wish the new [owners of] Rangers Football Club every good fortune."

Charles Green stated correctly Liquidation = no history but guess what the assets that were Rangers football club were sold to him pre-liquidation in fact the old holding company that used to own the ground/players etc (now known as RFC2012 ltd) was only placed in liquidation recently and still has not been liquidated to my knowledge.

Jim Traynor wasn't with Rangers at the time and probably wasn't privvy at that time to what an asset sale meant.

But I've spent too much time arguing club and company definitions with people over the last few months did Rangers exist prior to 1899? Answer is yes even if the company were liquidated and the club started playing in the Ibrox car park would rangers still exist? Of course! Same as Celtic same as any club where people play the sport and others watch.

For UEFA it's nothing to do with recognition of a club but mearly that the company holding the club has 3 years accounts behind it.

Again we go back to what is a definition of club and what is a company. In order for a club, be it 10 or 200 years old to play in Europe, it has to be owned by a legally registered company and said company have to have 3 years accounts. I still can't understand how this is hard to accept for some people.

As for UEFA, Florientina who went through a similar fate have all their records on UFEA site.

Now who should McNav and I believe? You, a guy on the OCUK forum, or UEFA european football's governing body?

The record breaking Brazilian game sadly wasn't a record breaker due to no official records been kept still a fantastic crowd just like Scottish crowds in the 1930s.

Just realised who McMav & Jas72 are
