The rise and normalisation of OnlyFans

Legal prostitution online... Hmm well whatever...but at the same time, the next generation is going to be more broken than the current.

I wonder how many will get caught out by HMRC for failing to report additional income
I'm surprised our government haven't had it blocked via ISPs because they are not earning anything from it :D

I'm all for it though,With how things are these days if it brings in a decent wage then why not,I don't see it any different to say Game Streamers etc who also (if you are big) rake in a ton of donations and subs etc.

With that said,Anyone want to buy pics of my bum? :D

I think OF is overhyped for the amount of money the average woman gets.

I used to subscribe (I mean on YT, not OF lol) to this couple on youtube, they did reaction videos.

By just doing youtube they were making enough money for her to do photo shoots and have surgery and procedures done.

Then she started doing OF, and of course some gets leaked to the various forums. To be honest, it wasn't really that good. Then I noticed she had a reddit group dedicated to her where she kept offering 50% reduced rates for that month, then the next month etc. They had stopped doing the youtube reaction videos during this time. But recently I've noticed they are back on youtube. So I guess OF for her was a failed activity.

The problem with a lot of the OF women is they 1. think just being a woman is enough, and 2. that they think they know what men want.

A certain amount of men are thirsty, simps. But they won't be regular subscribers.

Unless the woman is doing something unique, or is known for doing something else previously, then it'll be difficult for her to stand out and make enough money to live off.

I have included a vid in the OP from streamer Charlie White aka known as Cr1TiKaL about how much money some girls can make from this.

Worth a watch.

With prospects like that, who wouldn't leave their work for that if they could.

Just say i am not watching the video

No, it's based on the mental health issues that they'll be at risk of and also the severe lack of longevity of their ability to maintain earnings.

You don't think someone working 10+ hours/day to make minimum wage so they can barely keep a roof over their head is at risk of mental issues?

You don't think professional athletes and actors have a severe lack of longevity of their ability to maintain earnings? Besides, who needs longevity when you can earn more in a couple of years at your prime than most people earn in a lifetime?

Yes, it is. It's very different.

Can you explain why?

Prostitution is legal offline?

I don't think it's good at all, but if I could make a ton of money like this then I'd probably be at it too. When I say it's not good, I also mean that porn isn't good either - like it's really not good for our brains. Long term, this exposure to porn and the normilisation of onlyfans/porn at such a scale can't be good for the future of our culture. Expectations across the next generation are going to be ridiculous, my generation was bad enough (the porn in the woods generation).

What's the difference between Onlyfans and those old sex lines that have existed forever?
The internet and their digital footprint. What they display is on the internet is there forever and they will be the first to complain when it effects them later on in life.

OnlyFans is fast money for average and pretty women. Plenty of women have done it, made money and still end up broke and in debt once the money slowed down. Then they try to return to normal employment and struggle to find a job.

do you have to apply to be a member of onlyfans? i thought you could just sign up.
The conversation is getting a bit confused, here's the original comment of which the context is being lost.

@Haggisman this is also in reply to your recent quote..

Rating people out of 10 etc. is not acceptable in my opinion, and by extension structuring remuneration based on what a person looks like isn't acceptable in any form of employment or service - obviously society has exceptions to that and the sex trade is one of them.

I'm saying that society tolerates exceptions, the sex trade in particular does and that includes OF. There's always been a market for the sex trade, and I don't think it's unacceptable in principle. What I am saying, is that in my opinion prostitution shouldn't be coveted as an appealing career choice, particularly over something as essential as health care.

Our healthcare industry should be more appealing for those who work there, not just remuneration but work/life balance, too. Extend that to employment in general. It's a very depressing outlook to conclude that traditional employment is so grim that we should sell our bodies instead.

Maybe we could think about improving conditions for nurses that see prostitution as a more appealing alternative to saving lives, rather than champion their right to live stream the insertion of bananas into their vaginas.

We can already see that happening right now. Widespread degeneracy is ruining people.

I'm not sure how this could be judged tbh, as I'm pretty sure people and societies have been pretty degenerate throughout history!

If anything, I'd say our current laws makes current society less degenerate than previously. For one example, the age of consent used to be around 10 or 12, only raising to 13 in 1875 and 16 in 1885.

That would be classed as the most heinous degeneracy in modern standards.
