The rise and normalisation of OnlyFans

I'm not sure how this could be judged tbh, as I'm pretty sure people and societies have been pretty degenerate throughout history!

If anything, I'd say our current laws makes current society less degenerate than previously. For one example, the age of consent used to be around 10 or 12, only raising to 13 in 1875 and 16 in 1885.

That would be classed as the most heinous degeneracy in modern standards.
It's Schrodinger's Wokeness :D

People are all softie, liberal, woke iceflakes, who care too much about people's feelings. Whilst at the same time being kinky degenerates that will ruin humanity through their filth. :D

To all the ladies and gentlemen giving OF or similar a shot, crack on (hehe) I say.

The conversation is getting a bit confused, here's the original comment of which the context is being lost.

@Haggisman this is also in reply to your recent quote..

I'm saying that society tolerates exceptions, the sex trade in particular does and that includes OF. There's always been a market for the sex trade, and I don't think it's unacceptable in principle. What I am saying, is that in my opinion prostitution shouldn't be coveted as an appealing career choice, particularly over something as essential as health care.

Our healthcare industry should be more appealing for those who work there, not just remuneration but work/life balance, too. Extend that to employment in general. It's a very depressing outlook to conclude that traditional employment is so grim that we should sell our bodies instead.

Maybe we could think about improving conditions for nurses that see prostitution as a more appealing alternative to saving lives, rather than champion their right to live stream the insertion of bananas into their vaginas.
It’s going tibia ok i think to find a real job when it's all over

The internet and their digital footprint. What they display is on the internet is there forever and they will be the first to complain when it effects them later on in life.

OnlyFans is fast money for average and pretty women. Plenty of women have done it, made money and still end up broke and in debt once the money slowed down. Then they try to return to normal employment and struggle to find a job.
But why should it effect them later in life? Because you got naked on the internet isn’t any reason not to hire someone.
I accept it hinders now but it shouldn’t, at all. I guess the normalisation of OF et al will help that and mean that people who may regret doing it aren’t locked out of the job market for decisions they made in their past.

Indeed, it doesn't always hinder them. A good friend of mine works in a large organisation where it's well-known that one of his colleagues is an ex porn-star. I don't think it's proved damaging to her work at all.

Yea you’re right, I should have said it hinders some. But only because the person hiring is an idiot. Literally no reason it’s a bad thing.

Because its about the companies reputation.

How many articles have we seen, I think one was the teacher from Manchester who was sacked because she had an OnlyFans.

You think the NHS are going to welcome back all these nurses who have been on OnlyFans!?!?!?! Of course not.

I wouldn't be surprised if some were welcomed back. It depends on the department and the manager. Some teams in the NHS are very relaxed these days. New management styles over the last few years have really helped with that.

Maybe if they want to sit on reception all day. But if they want an career such as being a doctor. Having an sexual history broadcasted there on the internet wont make it easy for them.

If they're qualified I don't see why it would make any difference these days.

Personally I can't wait for the DM headlines in about 10-12 years when these prostitutes are moaning that their offspring are being mercilessly bullied because someone at school has stumbled on pics/vids of mum smashing her own pasty and shared them on whatever social media platform exists at that time.

Well, to keep you going until then here's a DM headline about the parent moaning about the bullying their daughter got after appearing in some amateur porn that led to her suicide...

I don't think that's going to be a problem in future. The deepfake stuff will be so good that anything real will just be assumed to be fake too.

I think it's a social disaster in the making. If it were purely a safer & more convenient outlet for women who would otherwise be making their living as prostitutes then fair enough.

It's clearly a very long way from that and is being increasingly 'normalized', but selling your body is not and never will be normal.

why not? it's been going on for a long long time. don't they say prostitution is the oldest profession in the world?
And yet in most countries till this day, selling your body is not normal.

Stand more of a chance countries accepting smoking weed before accepting selling sex as normal.
