The rise of AMD

Based on the early days of AM5 i wouldn't touch Asus, but im sure thats all sorted now.
i do very much like the look of gigabyte stuff now days
Prior to this I had a Rampage IV Extreme, Rampage V Edition 10, Rampage VI Extreme Encore.
And I've had 0 issues with any of them. (Other than when I broke a heat pipe on the RVE10 when removing it to install a waterblock, but that only prevented me from restoring the stock cooler, and it was my fault).

Outside of this, I'm currently planning on keeping my old system and moving it into a Jonsbo N5 Nas case, and using it as a home server; admittedly it seems like a bit of overkill.... But I figure that selling it and buying a new one seems like I'll end up with a worse overall system, as I'll probably lose money at both ends of the deal.
Also this would allow me to switch that in, in the event that this gets RMAed.

I started working on custom fan extensions:

However I should have used slightly larger heatshrink; so it needs redoing since I ended up splitting it on some of the corners.

EDIT: Small update: I'm just trying to choose locations for these Noctua fan hubs:

Before I measure all my fan cables; I'm using 2 of these one for the 7 fans in the top zone, and the second for the 6 fans in the bottom zone.
The top zone has the CPU loop running through it, and the bottom has the GPU loop.
I also have 3 front case fans and one rear fan; all of these route back to the Powerboard, which also acts as a fan hub.

Each of the fan hub headers then runs back to my Aquaero 6 Pro, which controls all of the fan speeds; it has no problem powering all these as it's rated at 30W per fan channel.

the hero dose look nice.

Stripped the entire system down, and it will now POST, it appears to have been an issue with Bitlocker encryption (I think), I'm getting really frustrated with this board tho; I've never had this many issues with a motherboard since I had to set all my own jumpers on the board!!!

EDIT: According to some sources it could be one of the USB hubs causing the issue. Great.

However having stripped it back down; I think it's probably time to just work on the wiring and get all of that done.

So I spent last night making fan cables (some people have all the fun!)...

But that does mean that the bottom chamber is done, other than the PSU:

So just need to dust the radiator, put the bottom back on and flip it over... Then I can do the same thing all over again for the top chamber!

I'm surprised you're using such an extensive snake of fittings when a bit of soft tube would do just as well, and easier to maintain later on.

Ewwww... soft tubing??

Realistically; if it was outside of a separate zone in the case I might have gone down this route; but because it isn't part of the loop that will require much (if any) maintenance or replacement it makes sense to ensure it remains that way using hard tubing and fittings.

The only time this should need stripping out from this point is if I need to replace one or both of the radiators.

but... shiny

if its fit a forget for 5 years u would have gone fitting too
Not if I wanted access to the fans to clean them I wouldn't.

Perhaps, I'd suggest thought that's an awful lot of rigid material hooking things up. Not saying that anybody is going to be violently shaking or kicking the case when it's assembled, but a couple lengths of EPDM hose is just as maintenance-free and also gives a bit of shock absorption between the ports if there is a horrendous knock in the future.

The only time this should need stripping out from this point is if I need to replace one or both of the radiators.
I presume then your fans are on the outside of the radiators so you can get to them easily?

Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely build so far. The big-ass fittings snake just seems a bit faffy to me when some rubber hose is far quicker and achieves the same thing.

Yes, the plugs are on the outside as well; so I can remove then one at a time and clean them and behind them with no issues and no need to remove anything other than the fans.

Ignore the different screws; this will be fixed; and matching screws are on order.

Just chuckled at "ignore the fans screws" like it's a problem, because I do exactly the same thing.

Literally spent forever trying to find a pack of #6-32 x 3/4" countersunk screws in black for a Noctua Slim + TX120 radiator that you won't even see. Including drilling countersinks into the fan.

As well as all the #6-32 button head hex bolts for the motherboard, GPU, PSU to match the M3 button head hex bolts screwing the case together.

Hope this is ok to post as I can't see ocuk offering anything matching those specs....

edit: ... not black
