Can't wait to play returnal

I have a ps5 and have played about 5 hours of it on ps5 but this game is just crying out for a mouse, a thumb stick doesn't do it justice

PvP tends to bring out the worst in people and attract a lot of intolerable people, I'm glad for the most part it's not forced in the majority of online games but given as an option to those who want to partake in that headache.

I liked it in RDR 2 online. The game would not have been as good without the added threat but yea in most mmo's i like to pick and choose. I still can't believe Rockstar let RDR 2 online die and never really supported it well from the start.

then play single player games

So your only view is to explicitly have single player games or player versus player games with no other choice ? Quite a narrow view, That would take away a lot of great gaming experiences.

Luckily most MMO's aren't like that and give the player a choice to play various PvE activities with friends

yea and why do you think MMO are dead? because everyone would rather play VS human beings in LOL, CS, Fortnite etc.

VS bots is boring, farming mobs is boring.

PVP is what keeps people playing games

MMO's aren't dead, Saying that is objectively incorrect... WoW, FFXIV, Just to name a couple with tens of millions of active players, Both have massive player numbers that spike even higher upon the arrival of a new expansion or content update.

Then there's others such as Elder Scrolls Online, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, Lord of the Rings Online, Star Trek Online and many many more... the issue is nowadays people expect something for nothing for simply existing so they won't pay a basic monthly sub and would rather go over to mindless PvP so they can farm ranks.

Let's also not forget the games you can play that have the option of PvP but you don't need to ever touch it and can have really great co-op experiences like The Division 1+2, Destiny 2 which has massive raids, The more recent Ghost Recon Games.
And from experience the PvP crowd is always the same, Hyper emotional, Quick to anger and generally insufferable individuals with horrid personalities that are highly intolerant to anything that doesn't fit into their narrow view... a little like spoiled children :D

Is boring, because devs don't care to actually put their minds to work and create more than the usual boring farming mechanics, not because PvE doesn't have its own place.

Might have another go of this sometime next year once I complete all the games I have installed right now.

Will have 50% extra performance and vram this time. LtMatt won't be able to say I don't have enough vram then

You on the other hand still stuck on 10GB :p:cry:

Here's a 4090
All settings maxed out CA/MB off

DLSS Quality
AYEFuf2.jpg

and DLSS Off, with dlss off I hit the p ower limit off the card with it limited to 100%

Seems DLSS Quality only gives an average fps uplift of 30%
How come yours says custom and not high quality ray tracing? what setting did you change?

btw for anyone who doesn't have the game all the min frames seem to coincide with the black screen scene changes, it only shows a scene for a few seconds then goes to a black screen and another scene constantly.

whilst each scene is playing the FPS is consistently high

CA, FG and motion blur off and iirc, there might be a setting which doesn't go to max when using that preset.

EDIT:

Anti aliasing is set to stable instead of sharp.
