Thanks, can you post it in the forum or it has to be an external link?

As far as I know these forums don't allow or give the option for something like the interactive slider to be posted so it can only be done with an external link.

For future reference and for any interested in side by side comparisons these 2 are quite handy.

Literally impossible.
Is that so?

Current RT psycho that needs a 4090 and DLSS 3 frame generation for some decent FPS:

Does not hold a candle to some GTA V ENB.

And this is path tracing? Who knows how heavy this will be. Looks kind of nice I guess.

GTA V with a decent ENB looks just as good.

5 years since its debut ray tracing is the joke that keeps on giving. Now go give Jensen £1.5k so you can have some decent reflections at 10fps (without upscaling) equal to a 2013 game

The ENB's while they do look very nice are not giving you proper reflections, It's just SSR turned up to 11 which as I said looks very nice but it's not properly interactive or correct like actual ray tracing is.

Lol.

But contrast bro! And sharpness and many reflections!!! Much wow. Gta V Enb is the bestest!

No matter how many layers of paint you’ll drop on it, it will still look like **** ( gta 5). Enb is nice for what it offers compared to basic but it doesn’t hold a candle to cyberpunk, even without RT, or simple RT … nevermind PT.

I also like how the pics were at the right angle and also cropped to show SSR in the best light possible. I wonder why

Perhaps in some select screenshots with limited angles ENB looks barely passable. Screenshots don't really show the benefits of RT. Once you get into motion that is where ENB falls apart and looks dreadful compared to ray tracing in motion. RT comes to life when you have moving objects, moving light sources which are not pre determined motion. That's when stuff like ENB stops working and RT looks amazing. Then you have secondary reflections which just don't work in ENB but make a massive difference to atmosphere with RT.

If you honestly cannot see the difference between good ray tracing and a 2013 game then the problem is not the ray tracing. RT has not been a joke for years.

This.

When it comes to reflections, screenshots are pointless, it doesn't show what the biggest and most immersion breaking flaw is with SSR i.e. reflections disappearing all because you slightly move your camera angle elsewhere. That and also the weird artifacts you get when you have objects against large bodies of water in the back ground.

Im speechless. Wtf

Ikr RT is the biggest waste of energy and resources the gaming industry has ever witnessed and it has done untold damage to pc gaming.
If that is really what you think then clearly you have no idea what RT is about, the benefits to devs, benefits to players and the improvements it creates. RT is here to stay and its only going to get more widespread. Which is a good thing. Just look at how RT has relativized old games like Half Life, Doom, Quake yet alone what it has done to new games.

I'm more speechless about the silliness of movie studios like pixar and the likes. Why do they waste MONTHS / YEARS rendering RT scenes instead of just throwing ENB in there and do the job in a couple of hours. They must be pretty dumb no doubt.

There is a video about GTAV, go to 0:30, the ENB looks amazing, way better than RT. Especially the part where as you are driving - reflections get painted on the road right in front of you :D

The funny part is the game looks better without the so called RT ENB ON, lol

Worst damage was when amd decided to give up on PC and let Nvidia get in rampant on pricing

You should work for the government with that way of speaking, They also come out with hyperbolic tripe.

RT is there to offer more accurate true to life visuals for lighting, Don't like it ? Then don't enable it.

It's the same situation when shadows were introduced, We had people screaming from the rooftops, Actually screaming and losing their minds, Full on mental breakdowns that it's not needed, Same with anti-aliasing, Then tessellation, People screaming all the time and now all those technologies are standard and the screamers have moved onto something else to scream about.

I think some people genuinely just need to get out of the house and go touch grass, Breathe some fresh air.

Ray tracing certainly isn’t going anywhere, it really is a game changer for realism as lightning is such an important part of the game for a realistic atmosphere. Hell it’s even on the steam deck now as limited as that is for now.

It’ll be on phones next, 10 to 15yrs from now we’ll be looking back and wondering how we lived without it, as above, tessellation, shadows and antialiasing took a lot of resources to run, cards took a big performance hit and now it’s effortless and we don’t even think about it much anymore. If you got rid of those features in modern games they would look horrific.

Same will happen for ray tracing when hardware gets significantly faster. It takes time to mature but that can’t happen if we don’t take baby steps along the way, it’s only been 5yrs and we’ve made some massive jumps in performance already.
