What could DLSS4 be though ? We already have AI upscaling, Frame generation and Reflex to lower latency, Difficult to theorize what they could come up with next.

Actually in all seriousness, I have a feeling this will be another portal rtx for amd i.e. 0-1 fps and corrupt graphics..... Will need more vram.

He says something around 40% more taxing than regular RT which is not THAT bad. Hoping for at least 30fps @1080p on the 2080

More RT goodness -

At 4K max settings with a 4090 using DLSS2 Performance mode he was getting 59FPS, Add in Frame Generation and it went up to 95FPS, I'd wager pushing the DLSS2 setting to Quality mode would likely still give around 50-60FPS with FG enabled which is very playable.

So seems 30 fps might be possible with dlss performance on a 3080 @ 3440x1440, cinematic experience here I come :cry:

Once overdrive is out I definitely want to play through it again. 60 to 70 with path tracing is not bad at all.

Yeah lookin great. Hopefully i’ll be able to get something along the lines of 45-ish fps at 3440x1440p with dlss ultra perf on my 3080 or it will have to wait for 5xxx series.

Or maybe sell my 3080 and get a 4090 … maybe?

At 4K using DLSS Quality with FG should be looking at around 50-60FPS if Performance is near 100FPS.

5xxx series is still well over a year away, Q3 2024 so might as well jump on the 4090 bandwagon

Must admit I am tempted by a 4090 as my logic atm is that a 5070/5080 will match it but likely cost £1+k so seems a bit pointless to wait to only spend similar money for similar performance in a years time but then I imagine there will be big gains in RT grunt with 50xx......

Are 4090 FE in stock often?

Did you actually try playing a game at 50-60fps with frame generation.? That is 25-30fps before adding fake frames. I tried that and it didn’t look or feel good at all.
I love frame generation but only when base framerate is no less than 45-50fps as below that it falls apart for me.

Yep, Tested Spiderman Remastered and Cyberpunk locked to 60FPS with FG enabled, I found it decent, Not great but playable.

It sure is. For me I’ll take smoothness and responsiveness over resolution (to a degree) so I will be playing it using DLSS Performance + frame gen.
