I Don,t know if you are correct or not but I have completed so many games on console over many years. If they are doing as you say its very well done as sitting back on my couch to my eyes I have not noticed. Most games I play on Ps5/Series x are SP RPG. Usually they have a 60fps mode as well. I don't sit and analyse every single frame, I play the game and most have looked great. I think gamers like you forget the art of gaming is to enjoy the experience. Go play Gow Ragnarok and stop looking for issues with a games visuals. I play on all systems and can tell you most ps5 exclusives look better than most PC games.

Well it's not my comparisons, it's DF side by side and zoomed in footage that backs up those points so unless someone can prove otherwise, I have no other reason to believe anything else. I agree for that matter that generally you don't notice a difference between say ultra and high especially when you're sitting 5+ feet back (which is the recommended viewing distance for 55"+ tvs), don't forget I game on both my 55" oled and 34" 1440 qd-oled so I have a similar experience of sitting back and enjoying the game as if it were on console. I never had any complaints with my ps 4 pro other than the 30 fps limit. I'm not ruling out a ps 5 pro either, as long as they can hit 60 fps all the time with some level of RT. Would suck losing 21.9 but big screen makes 16.9 more bearable.

Can't see a difference........

Man they really need to get some people who can do proper comparisons. Most of the trailer has full RT on but doesn’t compare to it off. Just 2 scenes with a typewriter and the diner. Their blog isnt better either… second shot with the fbi detective barely has any differences.

At least perf seems great. 170 fps maxed out 1440p with pathtracing.

Can't see a difference........

Just like Cyberpunk, you need a bigger sample range of areas in the game to see the difference clearly. The areas they showed off in that game's promos didn't show a sizeable diff with path tracing and then ray reconstruction, but players in most of us were able to see the difference much clearer in the areas where it is very apparent, ray reconstruction especially and path tracing vs Psycho ray tracing where you still get light leakage but get perfect lighting accuracy with path tracing.

I was being sarcastic :p i.e. poking fun at the "can't see a difference crowd" :D

It's very obvious the difference.

Will look even better on pc soon :D

We got HFW coming out Q1 and will be the complete edition of the game too. Won't be stuck playing it 30fps or sacrificing graphics to hit 60fps either :p:D
Most 60fps performance modes look pretty similar to the 30fps mode when you just play and don't try to find the flaws. I completed it and gave it the full platinum experience with no spoilers. It will look better on PC no doubt but no that much better that it's worth the wait to me. Game was top notch so i hope it's worth the wait.

Apparently Guerilla Games are doing a remaster of the first game to add in higher res textures, Ray tracing etc... it may coincide with the release of the 2nd on PC.

I don't game with a magnifying glass and in slow down mode. The difference are of course there but to me on a couch enjoying the game play the differences are not enough to warrant waiting. To busy enjoying myself years before PC gets a look in. Zelda is hardly pushing visuals but one of my favourite games this year.

Like I said, it's more a case of pointing out that consoles aren't quite as well "optimised" as people make out i.e. they are reducing settings, res etc. drastically in order to meet 30 or 60 fps in comparison to pc. I couldn't care less about graphics if the game is **** e.g. I still play 7 days to die (which has pretty awful visuals)

To me Sony games mainly come polished and very rarely crash. They seem finished unlike a lot of PC games. It's the same on Nintendo when i play there exclusives they usually come out when they are ready to be played unlike multi platform games that are PC's main stay for AAA. They seem like Beta's at best.

Great insight into RT for SM 2.

The perks of having to only develop for one platform.

That's optimisation and releasing when ready. PC will always be the best platform power wise but it does have it's draw backs. I am playing Payday 3 on game pass and it does not even have dx12 yet it does on Steam. I had to reinstall my windows as Forza motorsport crashed every 20 minutes. None of that on console so a more relaxing experience. Still love my PC but a lot more work to get that sweet spot in some games. The reinstall worked though so no more crashing. Funny how no other game crashed just Forza and no way to find out what exactly was the problem hahaha.

Will give this a watch.

Dlss looks to be a must as the majority of cards probably don't have great lows. You going for the internet card?

Not buying the game till I see how it runs (outside of nvidias charts) and also may even hold off till price drops as I wasn't a huge fan of AW so don't want to be spending £30+, if the game runs well on a 3080 with dlss balanced or performance at 3440x1440, I would be ok with that though as don't think this is a game where you'll need more than 60 fps tbh.

Yea thought i would love the first one but lost interest pretty quickly. Gonna rent this on Console after i am done with Spiderman, saves me a fortune doing it this way as if i don't like the game i just sent it back. £21 a month and have 3 games worth around £150 at anyone time. Big gaming family lol
