LOL 32.8FPS DLSS OFF and with fake frames DLSS 3.5 103.9fps ? seriously 4x fake frames ? on a £1600-£2000 GPU ? not even going to talk about the other 2 gpus there as that's just as bad a joke.

Game looks good but the performance and the gimmicks with DLSS 3.5 is now taking the micky... coming soon games that run at native 5fps and with DLSS 3.5 will hit 60fps.. DLSS 4 will 2x 4x that too soon but on 50 series... Nvidia ....
Have you ever rendered anything? 30 fps at any res is a miracle. Try frames per hour.

Curious how long people will cling to acting surprised how heavy PT is. It’s getting a bit old :(

The one I'm tired of seeing is "fake frames" when there's nothing fake about it, The frame is created/rendered via AI/ML and not in the traditional manner.

It's a very dishonest comment propagated by either pig ignorant cretins or people who just like to spread incorrect information.

Can I also add that with all the games I own on the PS5 that are on PC as well for the sony games, I've paid less on my PS5 versions then Steam has ever done for said games even on a steam sale.

I purchased Ratchet and clank for like 14 quid, I bought GOW ( not ragnarok ) for £5, horizon FW for £17, mean thats not even out for PC yet and thats gonna be £60-£70 on release.

Theres very few games I ever buy on release and Final Fantasy games tend to be those.

Aside from FF16, the mentioned games play far more polished then so many PC games I've installed lately.

So far the most bug free game I have still on PC is World of Warcraft just in general.

PSN sales are also more aggressive then Steam these days for AA and AAA games.

I just enjoy all my games on steam. Every game I have I can always access on a laptop or even a steam deck. I enjoy that aspect.

Also who buys games full price on steam on the regular? For example i have Tekken 8 on pre-order at the moment. That is £34.99 from cdkeys and should be getting quid or two cashback also.

Most games I don't pay more than £35. I got HZD for less than a tenner as I recall on cdkeys.

PS5 is nice and all that. But if you care about having access to games in one place whenever you want, consoles is not the way.

Pushing narrative or just enjoying taking the ****. I have done the latter a few times tbf. Not tried it to be honest, but I have always said I don't care how things are done but the end result.

Taking the piddle is 1 thing but the comments I see a lot are along the lines of "fake frames means it's uNoPtImIzEd" and it's always the same armchair types, They wouldn't know how to code PONG never mind a game like Cyberpunk but somehow any game that doesn't run at 100FPS on their 5+ year old mid range GPU is "uNoPtImIzEd"... that word just makes me want to slap people with a frozen haddock.

Nothing to do with that, just rdna3 being weak at heavy RT… but 3 bounces, my guess is 7-8 fps on a 7900xtx.

Its not just about the bounces, they just increase accuracy of the image. Things like RT reflections have an internal setting to adjust the resolution of the reflection as a percentage of the native engine resolution and Nvidia says it's been set it at 100%, meaning if you select 4k resolution you get 4k reflections, where as AMD usually asks developers to use the 25% settings, meaning if you select 4k resolution you actually get 720p reflections...

It's funny to see all the complaints about having to use DLSS, when with AMD sponsored games even if you try to run RT natively, the game still renders RT effects like reflections at a tiny fraction of your resolution and yet I don't see anyone complaining that their AMD RT games have Vaseline reflections. If AMD is the champion of native rendering, why is that all their sponsored games use sub-native rendering then

Any time I see an AMD sponsored game list RT as a feature it just means it's going to be the most lackluster lowest end marketing checkbox feature you can imagine

Don't forget they then blame the hardware being rubbish and say they've no interest in that feature - the hardware they don't own... Hardware that can do what theirs cant...

Then to finish things off, moan about pricing and use words like "RaStEr" cause that makes you so l33t and well informed

I'm not sure on the the cars bit but there is definitely water physics/interaction when walking and shooting in water so wouldn't say this was a limitation on RT front (before it was added, was this possible with SSR?) but more just devs couldn't be bothered or/and didn't have time to add those details.

Yeah true that, not as pen but more detail
-Small puddles don't react at all, like is nothing there. Others just leave some tire marks like is dirt/sand, but don't react when someone walks over or if you shoot them. Just the big river/ocean reacts somewhat to what's going on, but is pretty much the same.
-Shadows from the headlights can be awful and are present only with path tracing. Embarrassing since, from what I can remember, those where done since at least GTA 4 days ... But at least reflections are nice and pretty :))
-Some reflections in certain angles act like they're in screen space (you can see in some of the pics attached).
-Mirrors act like they're on low quality/deactivated, basically don't act until you activate them which is .... awkward.
-Characters and objects can float just above the ground.

and other etc. (no flashlight / although is needed, lights can't be turned off even when shot at, and so on). PT/RT is still improperly implemented in CB77 although it seems to be its poster child.

I do like the overall look, how it grounds everything into place at times, but in all honesty... good riddance to Red Engine. After so many times they still haven't actually "fixed" Cyberpunk as it normally should have been

That's the benefit of developers having low level access to the hardware and tailoring the game around the hardware rather than on PC where the hardware is just brute forcing games.
That's more due to the attention some games receive since they're first party games. Games outside that control net can be really bad.

Rasta power is where it's at! PS5 and a 7900XTX is all you need. All this RT, upscaling and fake frames stuff is just a waste of time. Native is king!

:p:D

Yep. Happy they are moving onto UE5.

Rasta's do make sick GPU's! Do you think that's why Nvidia uses green in it's logo ;)

Yeah a 7900XTX would definitely make a PS5 not crap I agree! Then at least you wouldn't have to choose between 'fidelity' and fps ;) Sooo 'next gen'

Remember though it's the hardwares fault the game devs haven't written the software nicely. ReMeMbEr! I saw it on Reddit and heard a 13 year old on YT say it so it must be true!

Nahhh I get all my legit info from LTT because who doesn't trust a man in sandals that gets accused of harassment!

Rasta is king indeed since it fakes (almost?) everything. The king of fake! :))

I hope you're not implying CDPR makes buggy game engines! The AuDaCiTy! Next you'll be saying Bethesda games crash!

I'm glad it wasn't just me that noticed that with the small puddles, noticed this in the desert on a road when the 2.0 update came out, frantically running around trying different view point angles trying to make it do it furiously, then I gave up in anger and became a Scientologist, that'll teach them!

It is weird it works some of the time though eh! I still liked the bits that worked though haha!
