A very competent defensive midfielder. Even though Argentina played pretty well in the world cup he really stood out as one of their better players. iirc hes 22-23 and he has his better years ahead of him. Ideally id like to spend £17million on him rather than Owen Hargreaves as I think he offers better value.

Please god no.

I know we look a bit thin up front if Balsa Boy gets injured but the prospect of a season with John O Shea or Darren Fletcher as centre mid with Carrick is just a horrible thought
 
If we're not getting Hargreaves pump the £17m into getting Tevez not Trezeguet.
I was angry when we left Arsenal to get Henry, I'll be just as mad if we lose Tevez to them too!

Tevez, Torres, Mascherano, Hargreaves... all young players I'd have LOVED to have seen at Old Trafford and now it looks like we are going for what I've said for a long time, the most overrated striker in the world.
 
Ferguson needs to get his backup plan into gear, and if that means getting Senna, then so be it. Not my first choice, but not exactly Ferguson's either. Him and Tevez would restore part of my faith in him.

Would like to see Cole and Reyes leaving with cash + Gallas + Baptista in exchange, get Woody on loan and then use the wonga to land Mascherano. We've been linked to him for at least 2 years now.

Ibrahimovic is mega-inconsistent (i.e. he has maybe 5 good games a year) and has an ego matched only by Anelka's, but Trezeguet is decent in my opinion. Not world class but certainly better than Sahahaha.
 
I really can't see Cole going now with him playing last night in the reserves. I still hope he ***** off! Bit of a step back for Reyes too.

The Egyptian targetman is back! Spurs now have great strike options for the long season ahead. Now we need a left winger and right back to complete the jigsaw! Though 4-3-3 seems like the way forward with our strikers and lack of a wide left?

In fact the only thing i reckon he can do better than me on the football pitch is swear in french.
 
Peter Crouch might have the current best goals-games ratio of any England striker, doesn't make him the best.
