The Rumour Mill, who do you want/think your club will sign/sell this summer

Bah, that article is 18 months old, it's since been revealed that David Dein, Malcolm Glazer & Randy Lerner are behind MSI.

Sorry mate, I still had you on ignore from last years CL final thread;)

:( :p

Doesn't look like that **** Cole will be leaving.

RA is most certainly behind this. Chelsea do not want the players now and they don't want Arsenal and Man U to sign them this year.

The only way out of it is to loan them out for a year using RA powers. A good move again is to loan them to West Ham as this will allow Chelsea to see how they adapt to England and the English game.

If they settle and prove to be fantastic then they will play for Chelsea next year. If they fail to settle, they won't bother and the likes of Arsenal & Man U will be put off also.

This is a very sneaky move by Chelsea and one that should be clamped down on but then again, I don't mind as long as they aren't playing for Chelsea, Arsenal or Man U this season. :)

Be interesting to see the excuses when WH have to play Chelsea, i wonder what kind of injuries the pair will suddenly suffer from?

I know, reading between the lines from one of JM's interviews, Gallas and his agent's greed seems to be the stumbling block.
I guess we don't want to be stuck with Gallas if we get Cole, as he's on a fair few quid and doesn't want to take a pay cut, even though no-one else has made an offer for him :/

Arsenal have made a bid for Gallas, at least Mr Wenger says we have. I don't see why he doesn't just buy himself out of his contract?

I meant no-one else except Arsenal:)
Probably not worth it unless he can get a big signing on fee. It'll cost him about £400k to get out, that's a lot of money, and the only offer you made was in the region of £5m (allegedly) and I doubt the signing on fee from that would cover his outlay.

Yes. Had a medical and everything by all accounts. More of a second Striker/attacking midfielder. Could be useful in a 4-5-1 in the Champions League

Looks like James Milner is back off to Villa...

Cannot understand this one at all. Why let some more of our offensive talent go?

Hideous i know

looks like we are selling Milner and using the money to get Viduka. getting rid of good future talent for old and decrepid fat aussie.

erm, bad idea.

how about going all out for a good defender with the money if we do sell :(

Well so far I have been not too impressed. They could have got Woodgate back..they didnt, they could easily have got Huth.. ditto, same as Graveson, and now we cant even get Viduka??

Eh?

Huth is the only one I'm bothered about in that list, and we all knew that finances were going to be tight this summer. To be honest I think that shelling out £15m for the two players we have isn't bad.

I must also be alone in wanting to see Viduka in a Newcastle shirt next season and he wants to come (vertical stripes are slimming apparently). Given the supply we can get from midfield we need someone who can hold the ball up and who is good in the air. Viduka fills those (ample) criteria.

hmmm.. sure. Im not saying Viduka is bad, but its the fact we look to be shipping out Milner for him...which i wouldnt do tbh.

god knows how much Boro are wanting for him either :(

but priority has got to be Defence.

Viduka or Nugent, who'd you prefer? Preston recently signed Mellor so thats why loads of Nugent talk came about

I dont know... we will see what happens, whatever it is will obviously dissappoint us today :)
