Veron was a great player in Italy but couldnt play in the EPL for some reason and ive said previously that there is very little room for improvement for Chelsea. No doubt Sheva is a better player than Drogba and a bigger goal threat but Chelsea's success has been based on a great defence (throughout the team) hard work and organisation. We'll just have to wait and see if Sheva (presuming he joins) will work as hard (defensively) as Drogba does or be as useful from set-plays (attacking and defending) and if Sheva can handle the EPL.

If Shevchenko does join Chelsea, it'll be interesting to see how he plays.

Crespo came from Italian football with an excellent scoring record and hasn't exactly had an excellent time at Chelsea.

Will be interesting to see how playing the Mourinho way effects Shevchenko.
 
Ah well.
Lets hope we can get some decent money for him and buy a decent replacement. Not RvN though.
£30m+ and Gallas is a good deal for us i think. We get one of the best defenders around and £30m to play with to sign a striker.
Accepted strikers would be Adriano or LucaToni. Maybe that swede from Juve...:p
At least the premiership will see a proper striker now. ;)

On the kuyt subject i believe that if liverpool really want him and its not just media talk they will get him , i would LOVE IT :D if kuyt went to newcastle but if the likes of liverpool , chelsea , arsenal , man u want the same player there is a pretty good chance the player would join one of them .

Do you think newcastle can compete for the best players lemonkettaz ?? i am not so sure , as a newcastle fan i want to see the best players and newcastle already have so very good ones , given , parker , emre , owen etc and with some new ones they should be right up there again .
 
i think if they stop mowing the lawn they can get kuyt,

if they want kuyt they cant drink tea til after the world cup though..

or liverpool, spurs, whovever will swoop in with their big fat "champions league" place.. or their big fat "champions league dreams" place

we have a shot of europe too...

with kuyt and one or two other good player we can be dreaming of champions league a little louder next year.
 
Seems the rumours about Lampard going to Barca are true then.....
